The Knockouts match is overrated.

Petey/Lethal was great and I was SURE Petey had won the title after Steiner iterfered and he hit the Destroyer, but the ending with the rollup urked me.
The 3 Way Tag was great but the first few minutes were Ehhhhh, until they started hitting all their spots and it really got going.

To each his own I guess.
I don't see how it was better or even way better as you put it, but whatever. I guess it had the best storytelling but the other matches both had a better pace and better action thruout.

Re: Destination X Discussion Thread
Very good show. Entertaining, minimal bullshit. Good crowd, very good wrestling.
Final match ratings/results:
Joe, Cage, and Nash def. Angle, Styles, and Tomko. ***
Awesome Kong def. Gail Kim and ODB. ***3/4
Jay Lethal def. Petey Williams. ***
LAX def. MCMG and Rock N Rave Infection. ***
Rhino def. James Storm in Elevation X. *
Curry Man and Shark Boy def. Team 3D. **
Robert Roode def. Booker T. * for the match, but the post match angle was good stuff.

It wasn't their best showing, but at least it was justified actually being on the card. The majority of the matches were built poorly and would have been fine on your standard Impact.

I don't really see how that is, maybe 1 or 2 of the matches, but most of them definitely belonged on the card.
Also, pretty much every match delivered other than the Elevation X and the strap match. But the post match stuff kinda made up for the strap match.
Then 2 of the matches(Fish Market, and the monsters match) surpassed alot of expectations.

Not a single tag match on that card was worthy (on paper) of being on a PPV.
The #1 Contender's tag match was thrown on there, the Fish Market Street Fight went longer than the ME...and nothing was achieved. The Monsters vs Kaz/EY is a midcard Impact match at best....and the ME was all about starting Joe's build for Lockdown....it was really unconvincing. A singles match against one of Angle's boys which Joe destroys clean would have been an excellent steam builder.....then a few weeks later on Impact he destroys the other, Angle feels isolated, worried etc etc....instead he gets a soft tag submission win, great momentum builder *yawns*.
Like I said a few posts before, it was fun and entertaining.....but on paper I can't justfiy paying for that card.

Re: Destination X Discussion Thread
I agree that Young/Kaz vs Reign/Rellik and the Fish Market Match should't have been on there, but they both turned out pretty decently.
The whole story to the 6 man was spose to be to get rid of The Angle Alliance, it made sense. I agree it should have gone longer but whatever.
Oh, I'm not arguing about paying for it, I don't really think many cards are worth paying for TBH. Especially when you can buy it for much less afterwards on DVD and have it forever. Also, when you've had bad experiences where you paid and didn't get to see the show(like me) then it kinda sours you too.
But the show itself was pretty damn good and thoroughly enjoyable.

It may not have been worthy on paper but it made it up with the wrestling.

Re: Destination X Discussion Thread
I haven't been a big fan of TNA lately, but I have to say, tonight's PPV was very good. The only matches I didn't really like were the Fish Market Street Fight, and the Elevation X Match. I missed the 1st match which was the 3 way tag, and also the 6-Man Tag Team Main Event, so I can't say anything about those matches until I see it. But the 1 match I thought stole the show was Jay Lethal vs. Petey Williams. They had a really solid match, and worked great together, and I'm definitely looking forward to a rematch. Overall, I thought it was a pretty entertaining show.
