I also gave that match ***1/2. That's still a solid rating, it's not like he (or I guess me personally) is saying it's *3/4.

I agree on his ratings (which I promise I actually don't do often ) on Slammiversary but I'd go up to ***3/4 for Petey/Kaz. Loved that match.

I gave Speed Muscle/MCMG ***1/4 on first watch. Great for a 6 minute (I think) match.

Pretty good first half of the year for TNA, I might be forgetting a few matches and any of the 1st 4 matches on the close list could replace any of the last 3 in as I have them all rated the same.

Also I wasn't considering the Angle/Nagata match since that was really a NJPW match and not really a TNA match despite airing on Global Impact.

Lot of really good 3 ways this year is one thing I noticed.

^^^ That's a pretty good list, but I would also like to throw Christian vs. Tomko in the KOTM qualifier up there. Even with this last Impact and all the great matches it had, I'd still probably put this one up there as my favorite Impact match so far this year.

Yeah I liked Cage/Tomko as well, but for me there have been atleast 5 or so Impact matches that were better.

It was probably Tomko's best singles match in TNA yet, unless I'm forgetting something but I can't recall him having that many good singles matches. He did have a decent match with Joe awhile back, but not as good as his match with Christian IMO.

EDIT: Ok, just watched it. I actually think it was a tad better than the KOTM match at Slam. I'll give it ***1/2. Almost ***3/4 but I wasn't a fan of the ending.

Yeah that's fair, I would probably give it ***1/2 as well but I think I preferred the Slammi match a bit more at ***3/4.

If the X match had been commercial free with some better editing and a better finish, could've been ****+ IMO. That's really the only reason I rate the Slammi match higher, but the action was probably better in the X match.

Another match that I feel has been heavily underrated this year was Petey vs. Steiner from Against All Odds. That was a very good undercard match.
