i like how everyone loves the ironman match. that is my fav match ever in TNA. Sure unbreakable was an amazing match, but the AAO ironman match had better story. at the end of the match, i was telling myself "no way that was 30 minutes".. incredible match..

Also Scott Keith (& insidpulse), a very harsh critic of spot wrestlers has actually named AJ as his wrestler of the year in 2005. That's really great. Hopefully we can get lot more of AJ in 2009.

Good Match, but not some kind of epic i hoped for. Daniels vs Joe was way better than this and Shannon Moore interference took the glow of the match

Against All Odds

vs Christopher Daniels vs Samoa Joe - ****
Nowhere near their unbreakable match, but still cracks four stars. These three men were great. Ah i miss the old times

Destination -x

Ultimate X: vs Daniels vs Joe - ***3/4
Very spotty, but fun. I heard that Joe was injured before the match, and they had to cut lot of stuffs to accommodate Joe. Disappointing to be honest. But was very fun as it lasted, the best spots were double team musclebuster on Joe and AJ faking a dropkick on Daniels, and hitting a sweet ass dropkick on the return..AWESOME

Lockdown

Lethal Lockdown - ***1/4
AJ was the star in the match. The splash off the rafters was amazing. Lots of blood in this, but to be honest, AJ lookedl little out of place with the heavyweight guys. But he was the star of the match by going from the start (like every other gauntlet/lethal lockdown matches).

Sacrifice

& Daniels vs AMW - ***3/4
Prett solid match. but the ending was a bit flat. Although they saved the match for Slammi

Slammiversary

& Daniels vs AMW - ****1/2
i LOVED this match. Old School tag match, with heels dominating and faces come back with high moves. The heat for this match was off the charts.

Victory Road

& Daniels & Sirelda vs AMW & Gail Kim - **1/2
No sir, i didnt like this. Average match with a some very nasty moments. Gail on Storm and gay moves

Hard Justice

& Daniels vs LAX - ***1/2
Solid match, but they had some communication problems. AJ brought back shooting styles press

No Surrender

Ultimate X: & Daniels vs LAX - ****1/4
Great match, great spots and a great finish. Daniels really upstaged AJ during their tag run.

Bound for Glory

Steel Cage: & Daniels vs LAX - ****
Good match again from the two teams. What a way to blow off one of the best feuds in TNA History. I stand my comments on the whole feud. AJ and Daniels MADE Homicide and Hernandez.

Genesis

vs Christian Cage - ****
I loved this match. Very underrated, mainly because Joe/Angle happening on the same ppv and this match had a shitty build. A very satisfying first time ever matchup. Cage has excellent chemistry with AJ. While AJ well works well with everyone. I want to see this match once again, but since both of them are faces now, i dont think its happening anytime soon.

Turning Point

vs Rhino - *1/2
Bad match, almost like an attitude era brawl. The purpose was to turn AJ a big time heel, but he was still getting lots of cheers.

Some thoughts:

Sabin/Stevens could've been a lot better had it been given more time.

Rhodes/Raven, another long boring as hell match between these two...

Phi/DOD match sucked but a nice moonsault by Trinity.

Jeff Hardy/Abyss was much better than FMM, loved it really. Great spots and a incredibly sick ending with the thumbtacks

Kip/Nash, just terrible, I wouldn't wish anyone having to sit through this garbage...

UltimateX was another great match, not the best UX but still lots of fun, a couple of spots weren't nearly as good as they could've been and there were a few botches here and there otherwise I might have pushed it up 1/4.

Jarret/DDP, overbooked nonsense as usual with Jarret. Tons of run ins again. I liked the ending with Monty though. Crowd were completely caught off guard.

Overall a passable ppv, if you have Hardy/Abyss and the UX on other comps skip this.

Cover art does indeed look cool.


But they'll never top the original Best of Bloodiest Brawls DVD in my opinion. And I'm talking about the one they released back in the Asylum days, not the one with Sabu on the cover from 2005-2006.

Doubt it could top even the 05 release, let alone the release from the Asylum days.
