Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Angle is definitely WOTY at this point IMO, but most people would never admit it. He also had the 6 man tag at Destination X which was probably about ***1/4-***1/2.
He's been in pretty much everyone of TNA's best matches so far this year, and he has a chance to add another one tommorrow.

I guess I'm a little late but the Unbreakable 3 Way...***** all the way. And if you can check out ROH Straight Shooting Series with AJ and Daniels, the part where they talk about this match is really interesting specially how about Joe screwed up and they ended up finishin the match early or something like that, it's a nice interview all the way.
And yes, Angle has been on fire this year so far.......

He's definitely TNA's wrestler of the year so far. I'd agree with him being better than anybody in WWE so far this year as well but only because Michaels hasn't wrestled as many matches.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
True, but Angle was working with Christian and Samoa Joe, two great in ring guys. Michaels had great matches with Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, a 58 year old Flair (even though he's still awesome), and Batista. He also had the elimination chamber which was pretty solid. So Michaels would probably be:
Kennedy - ***1/2-3/4
Hardy - ***1/2-3/4
EC - ****+
Flair - *****
Batista - ***1/2-3/4
So Angle still beats him out but not by too much. Angle's had a great year so far no doubt.

I'll take Edge, Michaels, and various guys in ROH over the year Angle is having this year. However, Angle is having a very good year and the best in TNA.

Like I said, Angle's ahead of him but only because Shawn hasn't wrestled as many PPV singles matches.

I hear ya on Michaels, but I'm not so sold on Edge. He had the 2 great matches with Taker and the good SD match with Punk, but I wasn't really thrilled with the RR or NWO matches with Mysterio.
The only ****+ match I have Edge in is the WM match with Taker but the Backlash match is close too.
While Angle has had atleast 4-5 so far this year.

Edge/Mysterio from the Rumble was the best match on the show, IMO. His match with Taker from Mania was above and beyond better than any other match in any promotion this year and the rematch wasn't too many pegs down either. Then, his match with Punk is a match I have sitting damn near close to 4 stars.
The only Angle matches this year I've given over 4 are his matches against Christian.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
I agree with you on the Punk match, which I have it ***3/4 but I'm not sure I could cross over to ****.
But for Angle, his matches with Nagata and Joe(The Lockdown match) are both ****+ as well IMO. I know the LD match has been rated vastly different(similar to how HBK/Flair has been) but the majority of people I've seen have given it atleast **** and usually ****1/4-****1/2.(Sometimes higher)
Plus you throw in his Impact matches with Cage and Joe which were both atleast ***1/2 and the DX 6 man which was probably around that mark too.
I can't comment on most of the Indy/ROH guys tho, but between TNA/WWE it has to be Angle IMO with HBK 2nd. This is obviously subjective and maybe since you personally didn't like some of the Angle matches that other people did, he wouldn't be your choice at this point. That's fine.

I've seen those two. That Hurricarana off the cage was crazy. I also saw the cage match between Daniels and Skipper. I remember Joe/Styles being very stiff and AJ hulking up was interesting.
I also saw a good match between Samoa Joe and Chris Sabin a couple years ago.
