Couldn't agree with that more. Unless something crazy happens in the coming weeks, some of it isn't actually making sense to me yet, but we'll see what happens. Either way the show won't be getting any money from me.

Instead the company has gone the way it has. Straight down from the high it was on for a good portion of 2012. The shows in England have some good moments on paper. Lets see how they'll come off in the coming weeks. Hopefully WELL.

Lockdown's card looks pretty piss poor outside of one match though.
I would enjoy him a hell of a lot more if he didn't have that awful name. "Gunner". Generic jobber lackey name, what were TNA thinking keeping it when he went in to singles competition? I mean, I got it when he was a generic security guard. Gunner n' Murphy, has a nice ring to it. But "Gunner" is a god awful name to have, and it certainly won't help his overness with the fans.

Which is too bad considering the importance of the show. Slammiversary & Bound For Glory is all they have left on the live 3 hour PPV front. Those have to deliver if Lockdown doesn't.

I agree. It's a bit bleh when he went into singles work. Gunner can be a nickname for him while he reverted to his Phil Shatter name, imo. TNA likes to have their original names so I'm not surprised. Let us not forget about "Jethrow Holiday" for Trevor Murdoch. Yikes.

Aces&8's really killed TNA's summer momentum. Seems like they can't go 3 months without some heel stable threatening the company. Also felt Aries heel turn wasn't needed for the feud with Hardy . TNA actually creates a star and then turns him heel a month later.

Aries championship reign as a whole felt unneeded. It was like they did something great for the hell of it. Pardon the first month after winning it, his last two were pretty bad. Especially in September. Getting roped into the Aces & Eights junk didn't help him out at all.

If nothing else, it did help elevate him, but they could have gone about it in a more effective way, especially now that the whole purpose of getting the title on him was to partially help sell a new concept for Destination X which now no longer exists.

It did elevate him as a main eventer. Certainly. Why as a face if they were going to turn around and make him revert back to being a heel to duke it out with Hardy? Lacked a tad bit of logic, but I guess they wanted to have Roode's big loss come as a surprise against someone fresh. Which I can't complain about.

The surprise certainly made the moment more special, but it felt like a cop out to swerve us and try and get another main event to go w/ roode/storm which could carry itself even though i still think storm should've won the belt since he's being useless now

would've been fine w/ aries just keeping doing what he was doing and shooting up slowly but surely. him being face was sort of forced too and turning him heel is good i think. he's more natural as it and they just needed to stick him against a guy w/ a big following like hardy for it to happen

Heel turn was needed. It's much more suited for him. Only doing it on such a random notice was the negative. Begs the question why they did it in the first place. Thankfully he was awesome enough to finally get the fans to turn against him. Not so much in Phoenix though. It wasn't really till post BFG did it work.

Storm as champ would have sucked and been ugh level predictable. So, while I have my complaints about the randomness of Aries rise, I'll GLADLY take it over Storm.

i think tna realised nothing was really happening with aries/hardy as face/face so pulled the trigger late. i mean if you stuck the turning point build into the bfg build it'd be way better. plus it allowed aries to work heel in the match which was nice. even if he rocked as a babyface when against big guys (kinda like punk)

it might've been predictable but you could argue the same about hardy. storms a better promo and a bettter in ring guy. stick him in main event time with aries and roode and it'd be good. that one storm/aries impact match last year i remember owning. plus if he had some fucking direction his work might be less phoned in and STORMWINSLOL
