^It's okay, but volume 1 is much better IMO. If you already have that, than you might wanna look into volume 2.

Thanks, might look into getting the first one then.

Currently watching Final Resolution 06 that I just realised I had on DVD. Was the show any good Taroo?

TNA Final Resolution 2006

Aries/Strong/Shelley vs. Dutt/Bentley/Sabin - **3/4
The James Gang vs. Diamonds In The Rough - *3/4
AJ Styles vs. Tanahashi - ***
Raven vs. Sean Waltman - **1/4
Bobby Rude vs. Ron Killings - **
Abyss vs. Rhyno - **
The Dudley Boys vs. AMW - **1/2
Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels - ***3/4
Sting/Christian vs. Jarrett/Brown - ***1/4

Overall Thoughts - Decent but skippable. The mediocre and the average overweighed the solid and the good in this PPV. I thought for a regular PPV 9 matches is one or two too many and it proved. In the 9 matches that took place on this PPV I could care less for 4 or 5 of them. I am not going to dwell on that though as we had 3 really good encounters here along with two solid tag matches. Dudleys/AMW and AJ/Tanahashi were sort of spoiled by the poor endings but whatever. The main event suceeded my expectations as I am not a fan in the slightest of tag matches without titles on the line main eventing but with the return of the icon it totally worked. Finally we had Joe/Daniels which was a very good match that had an ending where it legitametly looked as though Joe killed Daniels. To summarize I have to say I am at a loss why I added this to my short list of TNA DVD's when there looks to be so much better shows out there, I suppose I was foolish when I was 15, still the last 2 matches saved the show (much like Lockdown 08).

Overall Rating - ***

Thanks for the FR 06 review mate. I was thinking of buying the DVD, but it looks like the only highlights of that Pay-Per-View were Joe/Daniels and Sting/Christian vs Jarrett/Brown, so I'll just download those two matches. Much appreciated buddy.

You should watch and review Final Resolution 2005, it's one of the best PPVs TNA's ever produced.

Have you already finished your FR 05 review? Can't wait tbh.

Great review RKO, I agree with most of your ratings. Joe/Daniels and the main event are good but there's alot of dirty finishes and cheap endings to alot of the matches.(Especially AMW/3D and Styles/Tanahashi)

The show looked very good on paper, but it was like they tried cramming too much onto the same card. Still a pretty decent show, but definitely not one of their better efforts.

Thanks. I'm pretty bored right now and I'm going to watch FR05 to see if it can live up to the hype I've heard people give it in this thread.

Quite liking TNA. If I can watch an average show and enjoy it then it must be worth watching.

Just can't believe I bought all these DVD's years ago and never found the urge to watch any of them.

^That's an even better show with 2 classic matches.

Styles/Sabin/Williams-****3/4(Best Ultimate X so far IMO)
AMW/Team Canada-****1/2

The AMW/Canada match is probably the most underrated match in TNA history.

TNA Final Resolution 2005

3 Live Kru vs. Daniels/Shane/Kazarian - **1/2
Elix Skipper vs. Sonjay Dutt - **3/4
Dustin Rhodes vs. Kid Kash - **1/4
Raven vs. Erik Watts - **
Jeff Hardy vs. Scott Hall - **1/4
Monty Brown vs. Kevin Nash vs. DDP - *3\4
Team Canada vs. AMW - ***1/2
Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin vs. AJ Styles - ****1/2
Jeff Jarrett vs. Monty Brown - **3/4

Overall Thoughts - Decent show. Much like what would take place a year later this show was very simular to FR06, with the only thing seperating the two shows being the fantastic triple threat match. Yet again we had too many average matches that you have to pose the question of whether they are PPV worthy. The triple threat completely prevented this show from being described as passable, the ending to the match was pure genious IMO. Team Canada had a very fun match with AMW, although the constant interferrance did annoy me come the end of the match. Other mentions go to Skipper/Dutt who had the third best wrestling contest of the night that nearly made me go ***. The main event was overbooked which took away from the actual wrestling that you normally see in main events but neither Jarrett or Brown are anything special in the ring so that was probabaly a good thing. TBH the outside brawling, cheating and ref bumps made this match pretty fun tbh. Overall a show that had some good matches but yet again I felt the good-excellent was overweighed by the poor-decent.

Overall Rating - ***
