Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
So I'm trying to kill time before a buddy gets here and I can watch the Nigel doc. Browsed what I had saved and came across this:
Slammiversary 2011 - AJ Styles vs Bully Ray: Last Man Standing
holy crap be more apathetic tenay and taz. please. it's not like there was a lot great in this match you could've actually, yknow, reacted too.
anyway, 2011 had a lot of shit and this is probably the best match of the year. and it is really good. Opening interview with Ray is awesome. Emphasises it's last MAN standing, and AJ's just a boy.
Straight from the get go it's hard hitting and good stuff. AJ shouting down Ray and just hammering him is great. Ray demanding a count every time AJ hits the mat and AJ calling the ref away from Ray when he counts is awesome too. Shows who the MAN is. I never really got bored with this, AJ demanding more slaps and punches is awesome. Ray's handprint showing looks brutal. Bully bleeds like a mofo too. Some nice callbacks with the sit out powerbomb and taking it up to the stage. AJ taking a LEAP is fun too. Finish I really dig. Ray is just the luckiest mofo there is, totally shows his experience too and it looks like it really hurts too. Both men sell great in this btw. which just adds all the more to it. this is just my jumbled thoughts but this is a GOOD LMS match.go watch it. Happy I picked this over Roode/Storm BFG.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Yeah, that or Lethal Lockdown was my easy pick for TNA MOTY for 2011. Bully Ray was in both. Common theme there. (as he was in my MOTY for 2012 too. )
2011 was so bad. All that jumps out at me was all the trashy matches like Sting vs Hardy, anything with Ken Anderson, & that wonderful Angle vs Jarrett Ultra Male Rules shitfest.
Then Hogan vs Sting actually ends up being not bad. What shenanigans.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Never saw BFG 2011 actually. Worth it?
DX 4 way is p bossy too. LOW KI and Aries (I need to catch Ki in a suit from wrestle kingdom actually. and the whole show in general)
btw what's worth watching from like the last..3 or so weeks of impact match wise. i kinda wanna watch tonight for brian cage and im behind. idrc about missing much though since i assume its all filler leading into genesis. wanna see roode/aries and whatever daniels did. other than that i have no idea what really went on

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Yeah, I liked it. Only stinker was the Knockouts off the top of my head. Which was expected and nothing that effected the event in a major negative fashion. It's solid.
Ah, right you are. Stellar match. Low Ki's flying kick to Evans is worthy. lol @ how lethargic Tenay & Borash were during that one too. If it would have been 2006 Tenay would have needed a change of pants.
Umm...nothing really. Well, watch Roode vs Aries b/c it was fun. Did you see the awesome Hardy vs Aries III match? It's a must see. ***1/2
The 1/4 impact was one of the worst impacts in such a long time. Fuck me, it was terrible. Sting's return was the most hilarious bad/lackluster moment I might have ever seen.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
ive got the week off next week so ill try and get it done. so there's like 15% chance of it
i think if i shot tenay he'd probably react in the same tone of voice he uses for everything. and then he busts out a performance like Aries/Roode DX. Baffling.
I'll catch Aries/Hardy. Might watch the cage match from last week for lulz and MIKE KNOX FROM THE WWE (oh dear when i read about that.)

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
It's on youtube so there is an easy approach to checking it out. I wished I owned it. It was only 5 bucks during the Black November sale on TNAwrestling.com. Only I had no outlet towards purchasing. It was awful.
Haha. Seriously. It is. Oh well. At least it made Roode vs Aries feel special - like it should.
Yeah, do so. It's really good stuff.
MIKE KNOX (FROM WWE) While it was cheesy goodness, I'm really hoping he's able to use that name tonight. We'll see. He has to have his name revealed tonight. Right?
You mentioned Brian Cage ^. Is he gonna be on Gut Check or something? I'll go ape if so.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
oh youtube. such a wonderful thing. ill enjoy watching impact on my tv tomorrow though, its much better and i rarely get to do it at uni. you watched any british boot camp btw? first episode is meh but the seconds pretty fun. havent seen the third but its on my list
im pretty sure they'll go with the KNOX name if tenay just came out and said it. cant think of any other reason they would. him and doc tagging plz (btw there's a great thread a few days back where people tried to defend chavo as a wrestler. made me laugh when some guy said name something he's actually good at and everyone no sold it)
he's facing Jay Bradley, who I hear decent things about (mainly from joeisgonnakillyou but meh. He's a solid promo from what ive seen, no idea about as a worker). CAGE in tna is great. I imagine its Joey pulling strings.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
That's legit. PWG invading TNA now. The world of wrestling I guess. Do think it is said that El Generico signed with WWE. That's insanity.
Jay Bradley has been used by TNA once or twice for Aces & Eights I think. Not surprising to hear he's also getting a shot. He'll probably win too. He's ok. Maybe he's gotten better, but I've never been blown away by Bradley. Cage, yeah, I'm a fan. It's win/win. If he goes with TNA then great. Good for him and I'll enjoy the mainstream exposure. If not, well he can continue to grow in PWG and rise up the card some more.
Chavo thread sounds like GOLD. Too bad I missed all the quality stuff. I should check it out.
Oh, and it's a no at seeing British Boot Camp yet. idk where to watch it here (assuming if it would even be shown in the States) I'm not personally enthralled, but iirc there are a nice set of TWINS on it.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Thread on here has youtube links w/ the full shows. only half an hour so they arent that long. pretty fun. twins are okay but already in ovw so i doubt theyd win. PARTY MARTY imo
yeah i heard generico in wwe. might mean i dont get to see him for dguk tho
its definitely worth it re: chavo. i think there was some guy trashing the bucks too but i went a while lurking but not posting anything to pass the time instead of doing uni work. bucks OWN imo and i wanna see them face bad influence. or have ssb vs kaz/daniels

Where did you hear this? Not calling you out because I remember hearing it too, but I don't remember where.
Also, Aries/Roode Destination X was my MOTY. ****1/4.
