~ Something was off in the opener. Two athletic & good wrestler that didn't click. Disappointing way to start since it was a first time ever clash fans of the X-Division wanted to see.
~ Bogus trash. I hate Michael Shane/Matt Bentley, but even he deserves a bit better than this. Kazarian is a given. And he takes the pinfall too. Crap.
~ Ugh. Raven had such an awful string of matches on PPV till about May of 2005. This was no different. Unmotivated. Sloppy. Disjointed. Flat out bad. Both of these guys are WAY better than this.
~ Solid and pretty good. All 4 are talented so I wasn't surprised this was entertaining. Early days for Hoyt. Started to turn some heads at this time. Good match although it was missing a certain something about it.
~ Gimmicky nonsense. Abyss was awesome at this time and Hardy was not. Jeff is far and away too out of it to be aware. Lack of selling all of the place here. Spots for the sake of spots. Not even done in a fashion to be enjoyed. Craptastic match #3 on this event. Funny how mediocre these early TNA PPVs were even though the product wasn't bad. Complete one match shows. This match sucked big time.
~ This tag was a lovely gem. It's no secret I'm the biggest hater of Monty Brown, but he pulled his weight in the union of DDP. They actually meshed into a fun team if you can believe it. Roode & Young were quality. Simplistic formula that worked out well. I had a lot of fun watching this.
~ Iron Man is really good. Great pace for about 25 minutes. Which is incredibly impressive. I've said it a few days in this thread prior, but the last 5 minutes of the match didn't do anything for me. It halted the pacing and gave way from a great competitive wrestling display to a unneeded comeback story for Styles. It was far too predictable that point on. Overtime was meh. I would have much preferred this to end HOT~! within the timeframe. Really, really good match nonetheless.
~ lol @ the main event. What would you expect with Nash? I'll always enjoy Jarrett, despite the fact that a lot of his TNA main events were so overbooked and crappy. He's better than that. He should have channeled his awesome mid-90's heel work instead of awful WCW style booking. Random weapons get used without the referee doing anything. About 4 people interfere. It's nonsense. Oh, and the shit hit the fan within the last 4 minutes of a 19 minute match. Imagine 15 minutes of a Nash match prior to that. Completely dull. Felt like such filler till more of the nonsense began to pile on.
Very skippable PPV. Only match that ever gets credit is the Iron Man. Which is understandable. I'll give a shout out to the two tag team matches b/c they're fun. Other than that...PASS.
