Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

TNA Against All Odds 2010 Review:

8 Card Stud Tournament Quarterfinal: Desmond Wolfe vs. D'Angelo Dinero - **3/4
I thought this was a great opener. The crowd was hot and both did good job. I have no idea why the dropped the bell so badly with Pope, he's good in-ring and we all know he's super charismatic. Huge waste.

8 Card Stud Tournament Quarterfinal: Hernandez vs. Matt Morgan - **3/4
I think I'm the only one that enjoyed this lol. I'm a fan of Morgan to be honest so no surprise there. Pretty good big mans match that as I said told a pretty good story that lead to future feud.

8 Card Stud Tournament Quarterfinal: Mr. Anderson vs. Kurt Angle - ***
Another match with purpose that leads to future big feud. Thought the match was very good and Anderson was just great during the whole show, should I say TNA wasted him too?..

No Disqualification 8 Card Stud Tournament Quarterfinal: Abyss vs. Mick Foley - *1/4
Hm, what the fuck was that? like, seriously?

The Nasty Boys vs. Team 3D - DUD
Damn this PPV is slowly becoming bad. This was just embarrassing to watch. Two fat guys and Ray is with his awful ring gear that makes him looks like a fat dude that wrestling with his friends in backyard. The wrestling of.. well, there was no wrestling there, lol. Who the hell thought that letting Nasty Boys go over is a good idea? who the hell thought that bringing them would be good?

8 Card Stud Tournament Semifinal: D'Angelo Dinero vs. Matt Morgan - *3/4
Ugh this was nothing special, really just there and the DDE isn't a good finisher. Both can do better.

8 Card Stud Tournament Semifinal: Abyss vs. Mr. Anderson - **
Another very avargae and basic match from both, nothing to really talk about.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: AJ Styles(c) vs. Samoa Joe - ***1/2+
Finally a good match. Loved how big the match looked, they did great job hyping this match in the show. Loved AJ Styles then too, everything he did in the ring had meaning , he played his heel role greatly and Flair is always hilarious. This match was great as you'd exepct, finish was kinda meh but at least Styles won and Joe looked strong.

8 Card Stud Tournament Final: D'Angelo Dinero vs. Mr. Anderson - **1/2
Felt more like an angle than a match but the last mins were good. Nothing special overall.

Well the show was throwaway and filler, like NS 2012 the show had the feeling that everything we could've seen in TV and it's not worth the money but still not GOD-AWFUL or the worst show by any means. Just not good.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

What would you guys say is the best PPV this year? I was think it's between Slammiversary, Destination X, and Bound For Glory. I felt BFG had two strong main event matches with Storm/Roode and Aries/Hardy, maybe the best top two of all the show which may put it over the top for me. I like the undercard too with RVD/Ion, Joe/Magnus, and the 3-way tag title match. Destination X had 3 quality matches with Roode/Aries, Styles/Daniels, and Joe/Kurt plus the X-Division tournament which made for a nice, complete show. Then you have Slammy which had an amazing tag team title match, physical opener between Aries/Joe, and an entertaining Bully Ray/Park match.

Dest X and Slammi.

Slammi had (imo) best match of the year, but had a poor main event. Dest X had various types of good-great matches and a kickass main event and a birth of a new main event star.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Both PPVs had two very great matches (DX: Daniels vs. AJ & Aries vs. Roode, Slammy: Joe vs. Aries, WTTCOTW vs. Angle/AJ), but between these two I would say Slammiversary because of the great crowd in the beautiful arena. Personally, I liked Bound for Glory the most.

^Yes, and my TNA MOTY is between Storm/Roode BFG, Angle/Styles v. Daniels/Kaz Slam, Roode/Aries DX and Aries/Hardy BFG.

For me I don't really think any one PPV stands out from the ones I liked. Just a case of them having 2 or 3 matches each that I enjoyed with the rest being insignificant to me personally lol.

Hard to say, I enjoyed all three of those along with Sacrifice(AJ/Angle, Aries/Bully, RVD/Roode) Really tough to pick an absolute favorite.

In other news, TNA has put Final Resolution 2011 on their youtube channel for free.

Quote:
Opening Match
Rob Van Dam v. Christopher Daniels
TNA Television Championship
Eric Young v. Robbie E. w/Robbie T.
TNA World Tag Team Championship
Matt Morgan & Crimson v. "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero & Devon
X Division Championship
Austin Aries v. Kid Kash
Knockouts Championship
Gail Kim v. Mickie James

Kurt Angle v. "Cowboy" James Storm
#1 Contender For The TNA World Heavyweight Championship Steel Cage Match - [Loser Is Fired]
"The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy v. "The King Of The Mountain" Jeff Jarrett
TNA World Heavyweight Championship 30 Minute Ironman Match
Bobby Roode v. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles
I remember enjoying the main event, Gail vs. Mickie, Storm vs. Angle, the Cage Match and Kash vs. Aries was pretty fun too with both guys trying their best to cheat.

You know you remember this.

I feel the same way about a lot of wrestling PPVs this year! Combined with the best matches on the show plus the undercard, I think I enjoyed BFG the most.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

From the period where TNA got really good until now, BFG is probably my absolute least favourite TNA PPV this year lol . Didn't enjoy anything apart from Storm/Roode which was still only around ***. Didn't watch the main event though, Jeff Hardy prevents me from seeing it .

Slammy overall might be my favourite. Loved Bully/Park, Aries/Joe and liked the tag match.

Best wrestling - Destination X
Entertainment value - Slammiversary
My favorite - Bound For Glory
