The only PPVs from 2004 that were ever released on DVD were Turning Point & Victory Road, which are on the first 3 pack with Lockdown '05 brah.

Not yet. I gave yesterday to WCW watching. I can pop it in right now.

I got most of my rewatch for Turning Point 2012 done. Just need to watch tag titles, 3 way, & Angle vs Devon. Joe vs Magnus OWNS. Missed that the first time around.

b/c it's outrageous and suits the fact that you think Angle vs Hardy No Surrender is a "good" match. Nothing to do with being a "know-it-all". It's just the truth. It's a really bad match.

That sale on tnawrestling.com atm is legit. Got some money to burn and I'm seriously considering nabbing some more shows. (haven't even watched all the ones I recently bought ) Probably the rarer ones that go for $20+ a pop on Amazon/Ebay. Can't believe Against All Odds '07 is on there. That one is elusive as hell.

Slammiversary 2008

X Division Championship
Petey Williams (c) vs. Kaz - *** 3/4

ODB, Gail Kim, & Roxxi vs. Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, & Moose - ** 1/2

TNA World Tag Team Championship
LAX (c) vs. Team 3D - ** 1/2

$25,000 Fan Challenge
Awesome Kong vs. Serena Deeb - SQUASH x1
Awesome Kong vs. Josie Robinson - SQUASH x2

Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles - *** 3/4

TNA World Heavyweight Title - King of the Mountain Match
Samoa Joe (c) vs. Booker T vs. Christian Cage vs. Rhino vs. Robert Roode - *** 1/4

Overall: 7.5/10

- Hot damn, how bout that X Divison Title match? It's crazy to look back and see how hard TNA was pushing Kaz at the time and see how it went nowhere. He was literally winning every sort of #1 contender's match and losing to some kind of champion constantly. Weird, but back to this match. Excellent transitions and counters in the early going, then a fine control segment from Petey, and a really exciting finishing stretch. The crowd ate up any tease of a Canadian Destroyer or Flux Capacitor, and of course there was interference but it didn't hurt the match too much. Gorgeous touch with the Austin/Hart sharpshooter moment near the end.

- The 6-woman tag seriously had the most psychology you're ever gonna see in a knockouts match. Really surprised me by how watchable it was, although it was real weird to see Mickie Knuckles in TNA... And for the other "knockouts" matches (weren't exactly matches), Kong's squashes were totally fine by me. Serena got absolutely destroyed and Josie gave her hometown crowd some false hope, just to get shit on. Segment with Elvis afterwards was fucking pointless though.

- Tag Title match started off super hot. LAX was clickin on all cylinders and Hernandez was lookin like a huge beast, but after that it started to drag a bit and things got really disjointed near the end. All in all though it's a decent watch and the flash pin was pretty well done. And boy do I miss me some Shelly Martinez. DEM TITTIES

- Angle/AJ is just a combination that can't do wrong. This match had a really heated backstory and it carried over to the match pretty well. AJ was motivated beyond belief, he nearly jumped the gun on a dive to the outside where Angle barely got on his feet to take the bump. Throw that in with a top rope gourdbuster of all things and there were a couple pretty dangerous moments in this one. The only problem I had was the overbooking in the finish, which added nothing to the match and left the crowd in a bit of an awkward silence. Everything before that was excellent though.

- Main Event. Hmmm... Start with the positives. It was fairly entertaining, looked like all 5 guys were really gassed just minutes into that match. They kept hyping that no one has ever retained the title in KOTM match before, and the biggest problem in this is that there was definitely no points during the match where it looked like Joe wouldn't retain. Christian took every major bump in the match and there wasn't really anything else all that notable. Good, but unmemorable.

- As a whole, with 5 true matches, this show's a really easy watch with 2 excellent ones a god main event. They also had the wedding of Black Machismo & SoCal Val on the show, but make sure you skip over that piece of shit. OH, and I almost forgot, this PPV was in Memphis. Always love when TNA goes on the road, get tired of seeing the iMPACT Zone week in and week out.

Best Styles vs Angle match was that Slammiversary one.

2008 was such a blah year from TNA though. I call it my least favorite year from the company despite having the bulk of their PPVs on the road. 2010 is really bad too, but something about that year has me put it a touch above 2008. Probably b/c 2010 Bound For Glory wasn't crappy like how 08's was. That makes a difference.

Way too hard for me to pick the best Angle/AJ match as I seem to have them all rated about the same. Genesis 2010 I really liked along with this one. Gonna watch Sacrifice from this year real soon, then they had that finisher fest from the big iMPACT on January 4th which you either loved or hated, plus I've never seen their Last Man Standing match (which I could certainly see taking the top spot). Did I miss any?

But yeah, definitely agree on TNA having some down years. 2009 to me really sucked balls for the first half of the year. '08's Bound For Glory was a pretty great show imo. Angle/Jarrett had their best non-gimmick match, that monster's ball tag was awesome, and I fucking loved that Asylum match.

What're the thoughts on Sacrifice 2010? AJ vs. RVD is really intriguing me and I've heard great things about Williams/Kazarian.

Slammiversary 2008
Impact 6/12/08 (Lumberjack)
Hard Justice 2008 (Last Man Standing)
Impact 8/14/08 (No Rope Gold Medal Challenge)
Impact 8/21/08 (Ladder)
Impact 1/15/09 (Tables)
Impact 10/8/09 (20 minute time limit draw)
Impact 1/4/10 (TNA World Championship)
Genesis 2010
Impact 1/21/10 (Impact Zone "screwjob" finish)
Impact 4/19/12
Sacrifice 2012
Impact 8/9/12 (Bound For Glory Series)

That's all of them.

Don't like Bound For Glory 2008. It's just bad. Steel Asylum, Bimbo Brawl, Monster's Ball, & Bashir/Creed (seriously?) = meh or ugh. Knockouts was too short, I never found the appeal of Angle vs Jarrett I, 3 was was solid iirc, & Joe vs Sting was ok.

As for Sacrifice 2010, toss in Motor City Machine Guns vs Team 3D vs Beer Money and that's all you need to see. Or you could put yourself through the torture of Terry vs Jordan, Rayne vs Tara & Outsiders vs Ink Inc.

They also had the match at "The Whole F'N Show." The 20 minute draw one is my personal favorite out of all of them. That was my TV MOTY for TNA that year.

Agreed on BFG 08. That main event was the nail in the coffin for Samoa Joe with me. 2007 put him in the coffin to begin with and that main killed anything about him with me. He has slowly been getting good again this year, but really, I'd challenge anyone to argue that that match did not entirely kill Joe.

I also liked Kazarian/Doug from Sacrifice a lot. The crowd was just dead for it.

Right right. Good job on the slip up. So 14 single matches total. I liked the 20 minute draw too. Can't put a snowflake next to it, but I had fun getting into it. Most of their matches are fun. AJ makes Kurt's verbose style watchable.

It was the death of Joe. Where has he been in the main event scene following that? Nowhere. He's had three championship shots following that match. THREE. Over 4 years. He lost to Sting. Got owned by Main Event Mafia. Began the utterly terrible Nation of Violence junk then seemed to float around as 2010 began. We all know his 2011. So yeah. Lowest point of his TNA tenure. This year has been a much needed turn around. Gonna call it his best SINCE 2008.

Final Resolution 2009 time is upcoming. To keep it on Joe, he was a part of Feast or Fired on this PPV. Yeah.

Sacrifice 2012

TNA World Tag Team Championship
Samoa Joe & Magnus (c) vs. Christopher Daniels & Kazarian - ***

Knockouts Title
Gail Kim (c) vs. Brooke Tessmacher - ** 3/4

Television Championship
Devon (c) vs. Robbie E vs. Robbie T - * 1/2

Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy - ** 1/4

Crimson vs. Eric Young - *

Austin Aries vs. Bully Ray - *** 1/2

Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles - *** 1/2

TNA World Heavyweight Championship - Ladder Match
Bobby Roode (c) vs. Rob Van Dam - *** 1/4

Overall: 7.25/10

- Good opening tag match that ended far too soon. Going along great and would've been great with a few more minutes. Personally think they took the belts off Joe & Magnus too early but whatever. You read the rating right for the Knockouts Title match. A well wrestled, well structured match with an ending that was actually pulled off very well and made sense. Good stuff.

- So as it seems to happen in almost every other TNA ppv, there's about an hour of filler and mediocrity in the middle. More of the same here. Didn't give a shit about the TV Title match and while Hardy/Anderson wasn't awful, it started to drag down the stretch and they really fucked up the finish. Get off my screen Crimson.

- So Roode/RVD was the actual main event here, but the way they hyped Aries/Bully ALL NIGHT gave their match a much bigger feel going in. Two great pre-match promos from both guys, especially Bully. That guy's gold on the mic. Obviously this has gotten a ton of MOTY talk on this forum, but I just didn't see it. It was a very good match, yes. Aries took a hell of a beating and had a nice little underdog comeback, but his late flurry was nowhere near enough to make me believe he could honestly beat Bully. Would've liked to see it go longer, plus the finish was half botched. Bully's reactions were great throughout the match and his commentary was a nice touch, but as a comparison to this I prefer his LMS match with AJ from Slammiversary last year.

- They did a really awful job of telling me why AJ Styles was wrestling Kurt Angle tonight. Every video before the match was about Daniels & Kazarian's pictures of AJ with Dixie. I'm assuming this was made because Angle wanted to prove he could beat AJ without help or something, idk. The match itself I really don't have any complaints with. Slower paced but everything was executed and sold well. You knew there'd be interference, and it made sense for the storyline and to set up the Tag Title match, so can't hate too much on that.

- I had very little expectations for Roode/RVD going in. They made up for basically never mentioning it throughout the PPV by piecing together a pretty nice pre match vid. Not a blow you away ladder match but their were a few nice spots and Rob took a couple nasty looking bumps. Again, I thought this could've went longer though. Finish was pretty anticlimactic but I'm not sure if they freestyled it because Rob was hhurt or if it was booked that way. Pretty decent show.

I'd agree with your Roode/RVD rating. I actually expected way worse and it was a fun little match. I think my mind totally blocked all memory of Crimson/EY and Hardy/Anderson. I actually forgot the weird 3way rvd/hardy/anderson thing tna had going on. Oh well.

I'll echo the views that Ray/Aries isn't MOTY for TNA and that it could've done with more time, but I'd still give it ****-****1/4. Just a really big fan of the psychology between the two and it sucks that it didn't last longer. Same with AJ/Roode from the impact one or two weeks before this, if they'd done that on this PPV with the story of longest reigning champ vs the old record holder I reckon it could've owned hard.

Big fan of the opening tag and both teams in it. ***1/4, I probably like it more than Kurt/AJ vs Daniels/Kaz. I miss Gail, her title run was pretty fun.
