Angle/Joe: Genesis - ***3/4
Very fun match. Really felt like a dream match, and the crowd was one of the best TNA crowds I have ever heard.

Angle/Joe: Turning Point - **3/4
Not as good as their other matches. The first 15 minutes is kind of slow with a dead crowd, and the last 10 minutes if just a finisher fest. No selling of their finsihers, or submissions.

Angle/Joe: Final Resolution - ***3/4
Great match actually. Kind of gets overlooked for some reason. A lot of tension, and a good crowd from what I remember.

Angle/Joe: Hard Justice - ****
Epic match. The most underrated TNA match ever. At first there is a bit of focus on Karen, but when these guys get started, they put on a hell of a match. One of my favorite matches of the year.

Angle/Joe: Lockdown - ****1/2
My favorite TNA match ever. I loved how stiff and real the match was. Every single move they did counted. There was not a single thing wasted in this match. Unique and amazing.

Angle/Joe: Destination X - Good match, but not on the level of some of their other matches.

The Lockdown bout only seemed ok to me. Didn't like Kurt's whole MMA approach to the match. It's on youtube. I can easily watch it right now and see how I feel about the match to put a period at the end of it. I remember lol'ing at the ultra-overbooked stuff with the Hard Justice match. Plus I couldn't help but laugh at Angle's FAKE IWGP World Championship. Nakamura proved who was the real champ not long after that.

Genesis 2006 is at ****1/4 for me. They really mesh better with less time, imo. I always seem to enjoy Angle more when he doesn't go too long.

For me, I hate hate hate when Angle goes super speed in his matches, like the Genesis match for example. They throw all their big moves in the match, and they throw in about 5 finishers, and nothing gets sold very well, because its just finisher, kickout, counter, finisher, kickout, and I think you get where I am going.

That is why I loved their match at Lockdown. The crowd is amazing, and they really didnt throw too many moves or finisher kickouts in the match, but not a single move they did was wasted. The crowd went crazy for every move they did. The selling was also much better then in their previous matches, because they actually had time to sell the moves here. The MMA thing was a nice touch I thought. I liked how they combined MMA with pro wrestling. It really made the match unique.

Angle is a great worker when he has someone in there that can control him, and not let him get into his overkill mode. That is why I loved his match with Undertaker at No Way Out 2006 so much.

See the Genesis match HAD to be worked full tilt. It was built up to explode in almost, now I hope someone doesn't want to cyber-punch me for this, a King's Road style of match. All that hype, tension, and expectation. It had to deliver by giving us the match we all would have expected, which was those two just unleashing everything they had at each other. I wouldn't even group that match as one of those typical "annoying Kurt Angle doing too much crap in one swift span" type of matches either. It exceeded past that. You want to talk about hot crowds? Holy CRAP at how hot the Impact Zone got when that match was going on. It probably was the hottest they ever were and that was right in the thick of their best era in the company.

I'm never really sold much on the whole MMA incorporation by matches in the States unless done by specific workers. Guys like Angle & Davey Richards don't do it for me. I usually look to Japan to see that incorporated to a level I love. That's just me.

Probably the first time I have ever seen anyone not be a fan of the Turning Point match. Usually that seems to be the one that many love the most. I was never too high on the Angle/Joe series anyway personally. I thought Joe had a better series with Christian and Angle had a better series with AJ.

Surprised to see people crapping on the tag title match for No Surrender. With a better finish, I would have liked that one potentially more than their Slammiversary one. Rather enjoyed Dutt/Zema on that show as well.

I feel like that show would be looked at in a higher regard had the Hardy/Ray match from the following Impact replaced the main of No Surrender. I don't like tossing around star ratings but it's the difference between like a * match and a ***1/2 - ***3/4 match.

imo best to worst Joe/Angle match:

Turning Point
Genesis
Lockdown
Final Resolution
Destination X

Never seen their Hard Justice match, the build and result killed what little interest i had in the match.

~ MOTN (according to "ratings") was the tag titles and that wasn't even a good match. A bit above average. It dragged. Didn't need to go nearly 20 minutes. It really reminded me of a tag team championship match from ROH back in 2006 (Kings of Wrestling vs Daniels/Sydal - Dethroned) Solid enough format with the basics, but fell victim to lacking phases and running too long. What those 4 accomplished with a good tag match at Slammiversary wasn't accomplished here.
Sheeeeeit, I really liked this match. It was awesome up until the ref-goes-outside ending. Daniels and Kaz's workover was damn good, IMO. My review:

Not as good as the Slammiversary classic, but this was damn close, right until the ending. I hate when refs go ringside to “check on wrestlers”, it’s not compelling at all, it doesn’t make any sense. That’s what happened here, and it hurt the overally match quality, IMO. But everything before that was excellent, there were two long FIP/hot tag segments, and your usual WTTCOTW awesomeness. There were some breathtaking spots.

While I don't think the rematch could have saved the show, it would have helped. No doubt. I had the same philosophy with Over The Limit 2012 and switching Cena/Ace for Punk/Danielson and less people would have crapped on the show.

Meh. What can I say, it bored me. The monkey flip into the hurricanrana by Styles was legit though. Have to say I loved the way WTTCOTW won too. If not clean then go the route of appletini to the face.

TNA iMPACT! - The Whole F'n Show (8/12/2010)

Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles: **3/4
They can do much better. Not that it was bad, not at all, but with 8 minutes this was much too short to tie with all their great bouts.

Madison Rayne vs. Angelina Love (TNA Knockouts Championship): *3/4
Better then almost everything, that Tessmacher delivers these days. The overbooking with Velvet and Tara and a nice finish made it a fun short watch.

Matt Morgan vs. The Pope vs. Mr. Anderson: *
There's your average iMPACT match right there, not much to mention here. Anderson was just awesome in 2010. Too bad they fucked him up in 2011 and now he got such a bad reputation.

Jeff Hardy vs. Shannon Moore: ?
Skipped it, to be honest. Moore was such a letdown at this time. Maybe, I'll watch it later.

Beer Money vs. Motor City Machine Guns (2 out of 3 Falls Match): ****1/4
Just fuckin' awesome. Nuff said! Oh yeah: Screw you Prichard for letting MCMG go.

Abyss vs. RVD (Stairway to Janice Ladder Match): ***1/2
Much better than I remembered it. Man, they did some crazy shit right there.

TNA BFG 2012 Review

Little late but here it is. I forgot most of the interviews though but im sure they were decent to good.

-First off screw TNA for not having pyro on theier biggest show.

1.RVD vs Zema Ion(c),X Title

Good opener.I dont remember anything too out there but i felt it was the right choice to open and they worked good.RVD with the win may help the belt, and this was obviously just a way to get RVD on PPV,but good none the less.

***

2.Samoa Joe(c) vs Magnus

Real good match,i want more from these two. They both worked hard and put on a Big Show worthy performance with the spot they had.Magnus should have went over IMO.

***1/2

3.Storm vs Roode-Street Fight with King Mo

Amazing match, should have been semi main event, the best match in BFG history IMO.Mo shouldnt ahve been there but didnt hurt it too bad, this was near perfect.Just brutal bloody story driven brawl.

****3/4

4.Snow vs Ryan

Did not need to be on PPV.Match wasnt bad but seriously.WTF with Morgan? He should have been used in a bigger role not with Joey Ryan.

**

5.Angle and Styles vs Chavo and Hernandez vs Daniels and Kaz(c)Tag Titles

Great Stuff.Lots of sick moves and near falls.Honestly should have taken out the winning team and tacked on 5 mins and given Angle and Styles vs Dan and Kaz 20 min.O well.Great Match finish was flat tho.

****

6.Tara vs Tess(c)-KO Title

Not good,it was just awkward, they tried but the chesmistry wasnt there.Reveal of BF was meh.

*3/4

7.Aces and 8s vs Sting and Bully Ray

Decent brawl, they kept it really fun until the anti climactic finish. Also WHERE WAS ANDERSON?? Honestly he should have ran in since it was Aces who took him out the week before yet he was off this BIGGEST PPV.The reveal of Devon while not earth shattering legitimately surprised me and actually brought me into mark mode and i got emotional.

**3/4

8.Austin Aries(c) vs Jeff Hardy-World Title

Really Great match.Even tho the booking heading into the match and im not sure if the right guy went over.It was the same shit as what people complain about in cena matches tho.Jeff essentially getting beat up,comes back with a move, gets beat up,wins with 2 moves. It shows how hypocritical people are.Anyway i loved this.Time was great, some sick spots, both guys delivered the best main even in BFG history next to Angle/Sting.No pyro fuck you.

****1/2

OVERALL-Really Great PPV.Best PPV this year which is saying something as TNA has had a few real good ones this year.Def worth going halves with a buddy. It wasnt perfect, but almost everyone brought their A game.TNA desperately needs another 30 min on show tho. In the top 3 BFGs ever.
