Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

So glad that someone else rated Ray/Aries as high as me. Probably the best storytelling of the year.

CM Punk isn't the best worker in the US. Daniel Bryan is far better.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Good shit

The reason why we don't get fresh ideas and promotions rising in American Pro Wrestling is because the majority of the community is happy with the same old shit and will reject any chance of change. There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

TNA No Surrender 2012 semi-quick review.

1.Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe
Real good opener. They worked a good match and some nice spots and nearfalls.Very well done, would love to see a longer match with these 2.

2.Bully Ray vs James Storm

Good match, ref bumbs overdone but a solid heel vs face match.

3.Tara vs Tessmacher

Started off really good but got a bit sloppy and ended soon.Still an above average womens match.

4.Aries Fight Segment

Actually well done.I liked the faces and heels working together.Sends a sense of realism and urgency.

5.Zema Ion vs Sonjay Dutt

GREAT X match.Excellent high flying. Dutt is the man and should have never left TNA. Finish was a bit flat but otherwise stellar stuff.

6.RVD vs Magnus

decent match. Magnus should have went over. Not a good match but not above average.RVD can still go and Magnus is the future.

7.Angle and Styles vs Kaz and Daniels

Great tag match with a crappy ending. Angle didnt even seem hurt until the end.these 4 are just awesome.

8.Hardy vs Ray

A good but awkward match,i thought it was over a few times, but ayt times it was overkill.

Overall-A pretty good show. Not having a big match title match hurt it a bit.But the last 3 matches are worth watching. So overall a good show.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

A proper re-watch:

X Championship
Austin Aries © vs. Brian Kendrick ***1/2

Full Metal Mayhem
RVD vs. Jerry Lynn ***1/4

Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan vs. Crimson *1/2 (lulz)

Falls Count Anywhere
Bully Ray vs. Mr. Anderson *1/2 (Bully just laying casually on that table completely ruined the match for me, bad setup and the botch for the major table spot)

Knockouts Championship
Winter © vs. Mickie James vs. Madison Rayne vs. Velvet Sky 1/4* (for the lulz and Karen)

"I Quit" Match
AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels *** (God, I so hated this back then)

Sting vs. Hulk Hogan ***3/4 (Hogan taking out Immortal with punchezzz (in 2011!) was embarrasing, but everything else was awesome)

World Heavyweight Championship
Kurt Angle © vs. Bobby Roode *** (good, yet so frustrating)

Was a good show, entertaining. Aries/Kendrick, RVD/Lynn, Styles/Daniels and Angle/Roode were all relatively good matches, but the latter two still being heavily plagued with horrible Russo (burn in hell, you piece of shit) booking and Hogan's politics (Roode situation). I remember being VERY pissed off with the Styles/Daniels match, especially with the finish, since everyone was expecting a blow-off match. But TNA decided to prolongue the feud, so the finish and the post-match attack made sense, and I'm not that pissed now. Not a very good structure for that match, but Daniels' great, hilarious performance somehow saved the match, I had it at * last year, and after re-watching it now, it's not bad at all. Ray and Anus wrestled a very physical, hard-hitting and dangerous FCA match, it was a lot of fun, but the stupid table spot at the end ruined the ratings for the match. But still, the entertainment factor was very high, and Ray's pre-match promo was AWESOME. Sting and Hogan had a decent brawl, props to Hogan for taking 3 believable bumps and jobbing cleanly, Flair was hilarious at ringside, but the brawl against Immorlol could've been executed better, I mean, watching Gunner, Steiner, and Bully Ray being taken down by Hogan's cartoonish, campy punches was ridiculous. But hey, I'm not gonna deny a huge entertainment value, it was extremely high, the whole segment was epic, it was a great piece of cinema. On the other side, Hogan's ego strikes again – was it really neccessary that Hulk cocksucking Hogan steals the show in fucking 2011? And right before the fucking main event? And speaking of the main event, idk… Everything just felt rushed, no in-ring introductions, the wrestling was good, yet unspectacular and not so exciting, and the finish was very fucking frustrating. The combo of cocksucking Hogan stealing the show earlier, and TNA burying the months of storylines, fuck… I was very angry. Once again, TNA uses a PPV to build their weeklies. I hate backwards booking.

Sportsmanship, what a load of crap. Don't preach your morality to me. Steve Austin doesn't have any compassion. You want mercy? Take your ass to church.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Damn the LAX/AJ & Daniels feud. Fucking awesome and one of the best feuds in tna history. Not only the matches were awesome but you will feel they really hated each other.

The feud started so simple (AJ & Daniels challenging anyone) and went just better and better. It had lot of heat and got LAX over HUGE.

Cage match was a bit disappointing but Ultimate X match was top notch.

the whole PPV was build around that match (World champions JJ was facing Joe in a non title match).
