1st fall - it was a basic, pretty good regular wrestling match. 12-13 minutes where they had to play smart: they gotta win the fall by pinfall only, but at the same time they gotta pick/damage (if possible) their opponents' body part so they can have an easier task in the second fall. Like I said, the first fall was pretty basic, nothing special, but still effective.

2nd fall - now, this was 6-7 minutes of awesomeness. Great mat work and grappling. They didn't really damage anything significant so far, so they went the catch-as-catch-can route, and it worked. I liked the Triangle Choke desperate attempts.

3rd fall - the best fall, by far. I loved the stipulstion that they couldn't use the cage in the first two falls, so they went ballistic here. Angle was selling his arm, and Nigel was selling his leg. Both of them were succesful and believable. The drama was short but great. I liked how Angle didn't want to escape through the doors but chose to climb over the cage, almost losing the match in process. Great stuff here.

The only negativity is the fucking IZ crowd. They were mostly silent in the first two falls, but I guess they were just enjoying and appreciating the work.

Lockdown 2012

Lethal Lockdown-***1/4
MCMG vs Joe/Magnus-***
Devon/Robbie-3/4*
Gail/Velvet-**1/4
Crimson/Morgan-*
Angle/Hardy-***3/4
Sarita/Rosita vs ODB/EY-1/2*
Roode/Storm-****1/4*

Overall: 7/10

Obviously the crowd killed the feel of this show although they did liven up quite a bit from the angle match til the end. The main was fantastic and really didn't get the love it deserved from the awful crowd. They were into it a little but that match deserved better, finish wasn't great but they needed to prolong the feud and this wasn't the worst they could've done.

There was some real bad too though, three complete throwaway matches and two other ones that didn't quite live up to my expectations. The KO match was surprisingly good as well.

Lockdown 2012

Lethal Lockdown - **3/4
Tag Titles - ***
TV title match - 1/2*
KO Title - **1/4
Morgan/Crimson - *
Hardy/Angle - ***1/4
Storm/Roode - ***3/4 (could've easily been more with a hot crowd)

Crowd really affected this for me. Really felt the tag title match could've been a lot better if the crowd got behind the guys and the teams just seemed to lose motivation as the match went further on. Lethal Lockdown felt kinda slow to me and never really hit it's stride which was a shame. Velvet/Gail was the surprise of the night in that it was actually pretty decent and Angle/Hardy was okay, even if the end was just angle slam, twist of fate, swanton, swanton, angle slam, swanton, pin. It actually got the crowd involved though so props to the two of them for that. Plus the finishing move was fun to watch. Missed EY/ODB, didn't really care anyway.

Roode/Storm was good, could've been great with the hometown crowd actually acting like they were presumably expected too. I expected Roode to retain to extend the feud and all, I can see Storm getting the win at Slammiversary tbh. Just so long as they don't wait too long to give him the belt, strike while the iron's hot and all that.

But yeah, overall I expected more of this and it's kind of a disappointment but I think the crowd was the major factor. Roode/Storm delivered which was what I was looking for the most.
