Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Talk about lackluster finishes, the 2009 one takes the cake. The crowd didn't even acknowledge the Jarrett tease, followed by the shot to Booker. Completely dead. Shame. It wasn't a bad match either. Just too bad about the world's flattest finish.

Oh, it cracked me up that the MEM were the crowd favorites there too. Especially for SCOTT STEINER & Booker T.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Wasn't a bad match but there wasn't anything that really stood out either. Well besides AJ jumping through the roof which was cool, but again the crowd just didn't react at all. STEINER had a pretty good outing, I need to look up his RKK stuff since apparently he's epic over there (but it's steiner so that's expected)

I hope this isn't against the rules or anything for me to post this here, but just wanted to let folk know that I'm selling the original Best of the X-Division on eBay. The best matches from the first couple years of NWA-TNA, with classics such as as the first ever TNA match, the first X-Division title match, the first ever Ultimate X match and the Triple Ladder Match between AJ, Lynn and Low Ki, plus a ton of other awesome shit.

It's out-of-print, as far as I know.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

The 2009 LL is better than 2010, but still not quite as good as 2006-2008. It had a lot of big names, but it just kind of seemed like a lot of garbage can shots, chair shots, kendo stick shots, etc. I like how the teams were organized, but the match wasn't great.

The only great LL matches were 2006 and 2007: perfectly paced, full of wrestling, brawling, weapons, sick highspots, perfectly built up, and a lot of fun. 2008 is solid, too.

Favorite Matches of All Time

1. Triple-Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit - WrestleMania XX

2. Career Threatening Match: Shawn Michaels vs. Ric Flair - WrestleMania XXIV

3. WWE Championship: John Cena vs. CM Punk - Money in the Bank 2011

4. No Holds Barred Match: The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WrestleMania XXVII

5. WWF Championship: Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior - WrestleMania VI

I was a fan of the 2011 match tbf, wouldn't call it a classic but it's an entertaining watch. Flair bumps like a motherfucker too, which is fantastic to see and everyone just puts in a good shift as a whole. Probably my third favourite match from last year behind Ray/Styles from Slammy and the 4 way at DX.

I thought the entire Lockdown 2011 sucked balls, but the Lethal Lockdown had this at least:

Flair acting like a bloody zombie going for AJ's brain = awesome.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Flair was easily the most entertaining thing about that match. Still got it after all these years. There was something about him stumbling around bloody with his suit ripped that made me want to watch more. I'd totally mark if he was in this years match.

I don't really remember much of the PPV as a whole. I think I watched Joe/Pope which sucked, the world title match which was poor and Lethal Lockdown. Didn't even dare going near Jarrett/Angle
