Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Sting/Hardy
I'll have to have a think about it, really. There's been at least a few decent matches I need to remind myself of.
I watched the Harris/Storm Texas Death Match last night. ****1/2 I'd say. It just feels fast paced but not rushed from the start, going through the crowd is a real nice start, and Harris' cross body into them is AWESOME, even if the security's bumping is laughable. The bloods used real nice in it too, same with the weapons. It doesn't feel like they overdo it but at the same time you understand why its done given the intensity of the rivalry. The finish w/ Harris using the beer bottle is a nice touch too.
Also watched the AMW/XXX cage match since I saw it reviewed earlier and I needed to refresh my memory of it. ***** easily, everything is damn near perfect. Primetime walking the cage is just beautiful and I mark every time
You can't mention the Harris/Hardy v Beer Money match without this classic to go with it either.
Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Best match from TNA in 2011? Low Ki vs Austin Aries vs Jack Evans vs Zema Ion from Destination X or Bully Ray vs AJ Styles Last Man Standing from Slammiversary. I heard the Lethal Lockdown was actually really good too, but never saw it for myself yet.
Texas Death Match OWNS. Still amazed they managed to pull that one out. Cage doesn't have words to do it justice other than what you said. Perfect. One of the best blowoffs to a feud. Period.

Lethal Lockdown was better than I expected, but I might put the four way ahead of it. That might just be because it has Matt in it though and his TNA run generally makes me sad. FLAIR owned in it though, so on a rewatch I think I'll end up puttting it ahead of the four way. I need to see Ray/AJ and I should rewatch the other two again. Whenever I get bored of watching Mad Men, that is
Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
My favorite TNA Match that I saw in 2011 was surprisingly AJ Vs. Ray at Slammiversary in the Last Man Standing Match. I normally don't like LMS matches & up to that point I've never seen Ray have a stellar singles match, but that one was pretty damn good. And if you take out the Immortal bullshit, the feud itself was pretty good as well and Ray's victory actually paid off later as it set him up for Roode to take down in the BFG Series.

Destination X 4-Way is an easy second for me. Angle/Jarrett had me emotionally invested in the match more than anything, matches like Aries/Ion/Ki/Evans and Styles/Ray were good but just didn't capture me like Angle/Jarrett. Too bad I can't say the same for the Lockdown match, **3/4 for that. Such a disappointment.
Lethal Lockdown was pretty good from what I remember, it was a lot better than 2010 and 2009 anyway. Bully Ray stole the show but Matt and Daniels definitely held their own. I don't think Matt's TNA run was that bad, he seemed to enjoy wrestling again for like a 2/3 month period. His match with Styles was one of the better PPV matches this year, and he gave Crimson probably his best match yet.

Yeah, watch the LMS. It owned. Only proves why Bully Ray is pretty much my favorite guy in TNA right now. I should go download the Lethal Lockdown. The praise I've seen always mentions how awesome Flair was. Still stylin' and profilin' it seems. Radical.
Ha, bored of Mad Men. Isn't gonna happen, bro.
Yeah, I heard that Angle/Jarrett cage match blew hard. I was gonna watch, but the feedback was so negative that I said fuck it. Don't think I'm missing anything. At all.

I think that No surrender 2005 is the best PPV to pick up. It has a good six man tag between the naturals and Lance Hoyt against team Canada, 3 really good X – division matches in Joe/Sabin,
Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Jarrett - Sacrifice 2007
Well, Jarrett was emotional face and Roode was kinda today's version of his heel persona. The action was very good, there was an overbooking, but in passable way. It pays to be Roode!
Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Destination X 4-way easily crushes everything this year for me barring AJ/Ray. I think if that four way had gone a tidbit longer and had a couple more sequences, or even were made elimination, it would almost be as good as the infamous Kota Ibushi Chikara RDV match.

DX 4-Way was an amazing match too. ****1/4 But Lethal Lockdown is just a ton of fun. Styles/Ray LMS is #3 easily, even with the botched ending.
