An update on the "Best of 2007" DVD set for release next month:

Coming to ShopTNA.com and major DVD retailers such as Best Buy and FYE on April 22 is the latest release from TNA Home Video - "The Best Of TNA: 2007".

The three-hour DVD will chronicle the "best of the best" in Total Nonstop Action from the biggest year in company history.

Based on the 2007 Year-End Voting from TNAwrestling.com, the DVD will include all of the major voting categories, including:

I'll still be buying the DVD, but I'm pissed that the match listing went from 13 matches to just 7 matches.

There is only one match that is tempting me on the list and that seems to be Storm/Harris and it's just because I don't have that on DVD video as of yet. I can do without all the rest.

Which now makes this set come across as very disappointing to what I thought we would get earlier.

I might pick up the Best of 2007 DVD just to get the Texas Deathmatch. I thought for sure they would cut it out because Harris is no longer with the company, but thank God they didn't. That was my favorite match of 2007, and its just too good to leave off.

As for the rest of the matches:

Elevation X: Rhino vs. AJ Styles (Destination X) - I can undeerstand why this is on here (uniqueness), but where is Samoa Joe vs. Christian from that same PPV? Best PPV main event of the year with Sting vs. Angle being the only other one that comes close IMO. Anyways, I really enjoyed this match when it was all said and done and nobody got seriously hurt.

Ladder Match: Kaz vs. Christian Cage (Genesis) - Awesome match. This is another big reason for me to pick up the DVD.

All Or Nothing: Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Hard Justice) - I didn't like this match too much. It was good, but the ending was far too predictable. Once again, where is Joe vs. Christian? All of their matches were better than this one. I could think of a few matches that were better than this, but I guess the historical significance of this match outweighs the match itself.

World Title: Kurt Angle vs. Sting (Bound For Glory) - Awesome match. I already have it on the BFG DVD, but this was one of the best matches for TNA last year.

Ultimate X: The LAX vs. XXX (Bound For Glory) - Already have it like Sting/Angle, but probably TNA's best opener from last year. Great way to open up a show.

King Of The Mountain Match (Slammiversary) - Probably the best King of the Mountain match. I already have this one as well on the Slam DVD, but this was definately an awesome main event.

EDIT: Hey I just realized. 2 of the 7 best matches from 2007 according to TNA involved Chris Harris.

GODDAMN IT TNA!!! SEE WHAT YOU LOST?!?!?!?!

Well I actually don't own any of these matches on DVD, so it's still a definite pickup for me.

But I was torn about getting BFG cause I thought there was gonna be 3-4 BFG matches on this set, now that there's only 2 I'll probably be picking up the BFG DVD.(Cage/Joe, Lethal/Daniels, and Steiners/3D are all good besides the matches already on the Best of 07 DVD)

For AAO 07, I've only seen Angle/Cage which is around ***1/2 or so.
