The first match at Slammiversary '08 was just a very simple one one one match. It was very good, but it was not the classic everyone expected. The rematch at Hard Justice '08 had the advantage of the stipulation, and was an amazing match.

I think the match in October '09 on the iMPACT! right before Bound for Glory was really great, only hampered by the lack of ending. The 1/4 match is a ton of fun, regardless of the complete lack of storytelling. It's the Genesis match that I think just drags on forever and really never justifies being 28 minutes long. It's like TNA figured Kurt Angle and AJ Styles wrestling for nearly 1/2 hour was going to be good no matter what the match.

For anyone interested, check the little match they had on "The Whole F'N Show" back in August. It was about 8 minutes long, all action, storytelling, and a great ending.
I'm looking for Angle to have a match with AJ that's on par with his series with Benoit, HBK, and Taker. So far, it's been on par with his series with Eddie. I'd put his series with Rey above it now as well.

Don't think you'll find one then. If you didn't think Hard Justice 08 or 10/15/09 were on par then none of their other matches have a chance from my perspective.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Im in no rush, just happy i got the bulk of the year.

So its 2 weeks today since i ordered my shows and still nothing, it cant possibly take 2 weeks to ship from Nashville to Orange County.

Edit: Got my shows today, so there will be no more bitching on my part

Anyone else feel Against All Odds 05 was a pretty weak show, cause that how im feeling about it.

ME time!

Yep, other than AJ/Daniels and the Tag Title match the rest of the card is pretty much garbage. My review is posted a few pages back I believe.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I haven't seen much of TNA and don't own any DVD's so where's is a good place to start? Best PPV's and Superstar/Match etc. DVD's? Also where is the best place to purchase them (I'm from Australia)?

I couldn't tell you the best place, shoptna or highspots i'd assume. Don't get ANYTHING recent, cause it's mostly trash, but here's some essentials:

Bound For Glory (all of them really, '09 is probably the weakest I've seen though)
Turning Point '05
Genesis '06

The Best of 2007 (takes care of all shows from that year)
The Best of 2009 (same as above)
The Best of Samoa Joe: Unstoppable

The Best of AJ Styles Vol. 1 (takes care of early TNA)

I haven't bought TNA PPVs in a bit, but when I did, I got it from this place: http://www.gofigurecollectables.com....bcat=137&pt=66

No idea on what their shipping is like because I just used to go in and get the DVDs, but the quality of them was always fine and they have older stuff, which is where I'd recommend starting off.
