Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
TNA BOUND FOR GLORY 2010
-Really liked the opening package, made the ppv seem big time, althought the lack of pyro was a no no.
1. Motor City Machine Guns defeated Generation Me to retain the TNA Tag Titles in 12:50
Great opener. I wasnt too into it at first however by the end i was hooked. Some incredible spots that just kept comming. Gen Me definately deserved their spot on the biggest PPV of the year. Would have like the Guns to lose here but other than that this match was a classic TNA style opener.
****
(Side Note my PPV is very glitchy,it seems all the companies are having the same problem so it must be TNA)
2. Tara defeated Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne in a four-way to win the TNA Knockouts Title in 5:55 (with Mickie James as the special referee)
Impressive match. Especially Velvet. She definately stepped up her game and i loved the beginning exchanged between her and love. That said the match ended a bit too soon with a somewhat sloppy finish. Glad Tara won though. All in all for under 6 minutes the girls did a damn fine job.
**3/4
3. Ink. Inc. defeated Eric Young and Orlando Jordan in 6:40
I must admit,i was laughing my ass off during this. This match had no right being on the ppv at all,but it was funny as hell for a comedy match.
**
4. Jay Lethal defeated Douglas Williams to retain the X Division Title in 8:20
Good match. I find williams to be a tad boring at times but maybe just because he is against X guys and isnt given much time. That aside this match was good with some nice nearfalls towards the end.
***
5. Rob Van Dam pinned Abyss in a Monster's Ball match in 13:00
Good brawl.A Bit slow at times but the shock factor wasnt over the top so it worked when the spots came into play. Not as good as the Whole FN show match, but nonetheless a solid fight.
***
6. Sting, Kevin Nash, and D'Angelo Dinero defeated Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett in a handicap match in 7:25
Pointless, waste of Pope/Sting/Joe.However Joe saying FTW was cool enough as was the powerbomb from Nash althougfh Nash didnt need to get the pin.
*1/4
7. Tommy Dreamer, Rhino, Stevie Richards, Sabu, and Raven (w/Mick Foley) vs. A.J. Styles, Kazarian, Matt Morgan, James Storm, and Robert Roode (w/Ric Flair) in a Lethal Lockdown match
Good match, but very weak for a LL. The big spot at the top was obviously botched. And how long was Kendrick up there?! Also wrong team went over, but the energy and violence kept the match up to par.
***1/4
8. Jeff Hardy defeated Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson in a three-way match with no disqualifications, no countouts, and no time limit to win the TNA Title in 18:35.
Excellent match until the overbooked finish.Angle's layout was awesome. Great spots and nearfalls. Finish was one of the biggest letdowns in the history of TNA and the wrong guy went over.Other than that great stuff.
****1/4
-OVERALL-
A pretty good ppv. But not up to BFG standards.Seemed more like a good regulr PPV. Some descisions were good and more were bad. The PPV was built around haveing a 5 star main event and an epic revelation on THEY. I feel it underdelivered because of that. Still there is a lot of good to be had.
Moderately reccomend the replay.

Bound For Glory 2010
Guns/Gen Me-**** (Fantatic opener, yes it was a spotfest but it was a class spotfest all the way. MOTN by a hair)
KO 4 Way-*1/4 (Really not much to it, the KO matches have really fallen off lately)
Ink Inc/EY & Jordan-*1/2 (Complete comedy that was acceptable, had its place on the show)
Lethal/Williams-**3/4 (Solid match but I expected a little more, they could definitely do better)
RVD/Abyss-***1/2 (Shocked at how enjoyable this was, they didn't overdo it and the match had a good pace)
Wolfpac/Joe & Jarrett-*1/2 (Storyline match that was ok at parts, Jarrett turning was no shock)
Lethal Lockdown-***1/4 (Good match but not great, it did drag in parts and the big finish was screwy. Fortune shouldve won)
Hardy/Anderson/Angle-**** (Great main event with so many great nearfalls the pace was perfect. Finish was ok to me and Hardy turning heel did seem to legitimately piss some people off. Let's see where it goes)
Overall I enjoyed the show but it was quite a mixed bag, it started and ended on a high note for me and everything in between ranged from bad to ok to pretty good. Had LL delivered a little more and the X title been a little more exciting, I'd say it was a great show but pretty good pretty much sums it up.
But any PPV out of the Impact Zone is always better and I really like the titantron setup, it was the best set design they've had thus far for BFG IMO. If I had to put a number rating on the show I'd say something like a 7/10, it just had some of the best and worst TNA has to offer.

That isn't even on the set in highlight for never mind a full match.
