Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Destination X 2007
Ghetto Brawl
LAX vs. Team 3D - ***1/2 (I might be overrating this a tad, but this was a hell of a lot of fun. A huge brawl that included the fans, a big gang of Mexicans, then a big gang of blacks, Johnny Rodz, and even Alex Shelley. Great opener)
Double Bullrope Mixed Tag Match
Petey Williams & Gail Kim vs. James Storm & Jackie Moore - **1/4 (Gotta say, going in I thought this would just be a dumbass idea, but it actually came off really well. A pretty good match with a meh ending. Gotta love watching Gail and Jackie beat the hell out of each other)
Crossface Chickenwing Submission Match
Senshi vs. Austin Starr - **3/4 (With all the stipulation matches they had on this ppv, which there were a titload, this one has to be the worst. These two actually put on a really good match but having to win with the crossface chickenwing was fucking stupid and didn't look painful if either one of them applied it. Good showcase from both guys regardless though)
Voodoo Kin Mafia vs. The Heartbreaks - SHIT (At one point, I think the crowd was actually chanting "You Suck Dick!")
X Division Championship - 2 out of 3 Falls
Chris Sabin(c) vs. Jerry Lynn - **3/4 (Another very solid match that was brought down by the ending. Great showing from Lynn)
Elevation X
Rhino vs. AJ Styles - ** (Probably just about the best scaffold match you could have, but that's still not saying a lot. Nothing special)
Kurt Angle vs. Scott Steiner - *3/4 (Scott Steiner hasn't been able to put on a good match since 1996. Awful botch on the finish)
Last Rites Match
Sting vs. Abyss - *1/4 (Awful. The entire idea of the match was dumb enough but the psychology during it was even worse. The incidental cut on Sting's head was a sight to see though. Crazy shit)
NWA World Heavyweight Championship
Christian Cage(c) vs. Samoa Joe - **** (Great main event. The usual TNA booking with a ref bump and controversy and such, but it worked. Glad they did something right on this PPV)
Overall: 6.75/10
A show with just way too many dumb gimmick matches. They did do well in starting great and ending great, but a lot of the marquee matches didn't deliver.

I'm thinking they will go all former ECW alumni, and no TNA or former WWE guys.
If they do that , I'm thinking the card may shape up like this.
Dudley Boys vs. Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney
Jerry Lynn vs. RVD
Raven vs. Tommy Dreamer
Sabu vs. Sandman
FBI vs.Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger,
Shane Douglas vs. Rhino vs. Stevie Richards
Al Snow vs. Mick Foley
All those names are all pretty much confirmed. If that IS true.... That is the card I would go with.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Question about the AMW set:
Does the XXX cage match get shown uninterrupted in its entirely? On the Title Matches set, there were some annoying AMW PIP commentary inserts throughout the match.

Hard Justice 2007
X Division 3-Way Tag Match
Triple X (Daniels/Senshi) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal - ***1/4 (Great way to open the show. Exciting, fast paced opener as you'd expect with an awesome finishing sequence. If anyone actually reads these, I keep saying this, but Sonjay is so underrated)
Kaz vs. Raven - 3/4* (Apparently this was a 3-on-1 no dq handicap match...?)
Bar Room Brawl
Rhino vs. James Storm - **1/4 (This actually exceeded my expectations by a mile. The whole setup and the story was pretty goofy but hey, it was kinda fun to watch Rhino "drink" heavily during the match then get his ass kicked)
LAX vs. Voodoo Kin Mafia - 1/2* (Made no sense)
Ultimate Humiliation Match
Eric Young vs. Robert Roode - *1/2 (Dumbass idea once again from Russo. Why do the same thing people already saw on impact? I added on to the rating for Traci's tits)
Chris Harris vs. Black Reign - N/A (No comment)
Team 3D vs. The Steiner Brothers - *1/2 (Just a collection of everything you'd see in a tag match with either team)
Doomsday Chamber Of Blood
Christian Cage, AJ Styles, & Tomko vs. Sting, Abyss, & Andrew Martin - DUD (If you dind't know, the whole idea behind the match is a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match, but your opponent has to be bloodied before you can pin him. And it's one fall to the finish. This was just awful, and there was no sign of AJ bleeding at all at the end)
All Or Nothing - Every TNA Title On The Line
Kurt Angle(TNA Champion & IWGP Champion) vs. Samoa Joe(X Division Champion & TNA Tag Team Champion) - *** (Not that bad of a match really, but I couldn't get into it with the whole Angle storyline they were doing. The ending I thought was kinda clever but it definitely hurt the match, especially with him winning on a single chair shot, which I also will add is pictured on the back cover. Nice one TNA)
Overall: 3/10
One of the worst PPVs in TNA history. Too many gimmick matches and just awful finishes and booking.

Agreed. I remember thinking it would really suck, but these two somewhere worked well. I think the history helped, and they had a very interesting clash of promos. I loved the difference between their attitudes, and it showed in the ring. This was an interesting brawl before it got bloody, and then it got really intense. I wish they would have had a rematch.
