I checked with some other people and they said theirs glitched at the same time, so it's not just yours. I was hoping the issue was that the release in general was screwed up, and not that it was because I picked a bad copy or, worse, my DVD player. The good news is that there's nothing we can do about it. The bad news is that I quite enjoyed that match the first time I saw it and now we have no away to really watch the first 4 minutes without irritation.

Victory Road 10

Williams/Kendrick-**
Devon/Ray/Neal-*1/2
Love/Rayne-* (The action was decent but the ending just kind of killed it)
AJ/Kaz vs Joe/Terry-***1/4 (If you replaced Terry with like Red or almost anyone else this could've been even higher)
Morgan/Hernandez-**3/4 (It had some nice moments and was physical but never really got over the hump)
Lethal/Flair-***1/2 (Told a very good story and Flair delivered a nice performance but it felt like the win wasn't big enough)
Guns/Beer Money-***3/4 (Great tag action and seeing the Guns finally take the titles was a great moment)
Pope/Angle-***3/4 (I can't believe how dead the crowd was for such a great and crisply performed match, great stuff)
4 Way-***-***1/4 (The match was going really good for a multiman and then just ended way too early)

Overall: 7.5/10

It had quite a few very good matches but nothing that really really went over the top and some things felt rushed on a 9 match card. First half of the show was pretty dull until the tag came around and really got the crowd back but overall they were one of the deadest IZ crowds for a PPV I can ever remember. They got it back for the main event and then it just ended, I still can't believe just how quiet they were during Pope/Angle.

Still the 2nd best TNA show of the year behind Lockdown, but it just seems like TNA is constantly hyping up these big surprises and nothing ever happens. The wrestling was solid and we got some good matches, but they need to get the hell out of the Impact Zone for every PPV to really have a special feel.

Don't read this if you don't want any spoilers.

Victory Road 2010

X Division Title Match - Ultimate X/Submission
Doug Williams(c) vs. Brian Kendrick - **1/4 (The Ultimate X part really never came into play and the ending was quite anticlimactic. Kendrick constantly going for his one submission move got annoying too)

Brother Ray vs. Brother Devon vs. Jesse Neal - *1/2 (I really hope they end this thing now)

Knockouts Championship vs. Angelina's Career
Madison Rayne(c) vs. Angelina Love - * (Fucking stupid ending)

AJ Styles & Kazarian vs. Samoa Joe & Rob Terry - *** (Pretty fun match. AJ and Kaz really look like they can go somehwere as a team, and Joe is just so over with the crowd it's ridiculous. Hoping this will spur a Joe/Wolfe feud, even though they use Wolfe as a dish rag now)

Steel Cage Match
Matt Morgan vs. Hernandez - **1/4

Ric Flair vs. Jay Lethal - **1/4 (Matchwise what you expected, finish came as a bit shocking though)

TNA World Tag Team Ttile Match
Beer Money Inc. vs. The Motor City Machine Guns - ***1/2 (My personal favorite match from the night, a lot of Guns but not very much from Beer Money. I like their Turning Point '08 match better but this was still very good. Thought the ref thing wasn't really necessary though)

Kurt Angle vs. "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero - ***1/2 (Certainly a very good match, but I really felt like it could've been better. I felt like they just threw all their big moves together and the crowd wasn't all that hot. It actually kinda sucks because Angle won't lose any of these matches so it gives me that Undertaker at Wrestlemania feel...)

TNA World Heavyweight Title Match
RVD(c) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss vs. Mr. Anderson - *** (This was alright but again the finish was just completely anticlimactic and it was just a display of all their signature moves. Crowd was fairly dead too)

Overall: 6/10

Again, a TNA PPV disappoints. The Tag Title match and Angle/Pope delivered, but that can't help the rest of the card, which was pretty shitty. Maybe I'm just too used to indy wrestling, but it seems like no mainsteam company can put on a good ppv anymore. I don't recommend you order the replay of this.

TNA VICTORY ROAD 2010

Williams vs Kendrick ** Going through the motions really, with quite a poor finish.

Ray vs Devon vs Neal ** More thought out than the previous match, with some ok psychology but mechanically there was nothing really there.

Rayne vs Love * Bullshit finish, standard impact KO match.

Styles/kaz vs Joe/Terry *** 1/4 Impressive performance, particularly by Joe, who stole the show here. Terry was also suprisingly capable. Well worked match by all involved.

Hernandez vs Morgan Steel Cage match * 1/2 very poor, for a number of reasons. Firstly, these two aren't high enough on the card to merit a cage match. It had no significance. The pace was far too slow. Almost nothing made sense, Hernandez's dive was just stupid and served no purpose at all. Hernandez spent most of the match looking like a chump, before randomly turning into superman, breaking a pair of handcuffs and diving out of the cage. Anyway, not a fan of this.

Flair vs Lethal *** 3/4 MOTN for me, hurt slightly by the ending with Flair tapping too early, but apart from that I was very impressed. Lethal is a star, and Flair is still a legend. Both had the crowd in the palm of their hands.

Beer Money vs MCMG I can't rate this, since I got distracted by a phone call midway through, but from what I saw it was a great match. Didn't understand the need for a fake out, but nice to see the Guns finally get the titles, nice moment there.

Angle vs Pope *** 1/2 Excellent match mechanically, but loses points due to how everyone already knew the finish. The crowd involvement was hurt by that too. Still, good match.

RVD vs Hardy vs Anderson vs Abyss ** 3/4 Quite a 'meh' main event really, it never got going imo, was too short and didn't further any storyline. Not to mention RVD as champ is just dull.

Average ppv overall, a few matches make it worth a look.

It really doesnt seem like that bad of a ppv. I have not seen it yet but based on the reviews there were around 4 or 5 matches that were at 3 stars or higher. That doesnt seem bad at all to me.

For $35 it was pretty forgettable. Yeah 4 matches were ***+ but nothing really that memorable aside from the Guns win, and I wouldn't put anything else on the card any higher than **1/2. Crowd was dead. I'm just kinda tired of spending my money on these ppvs and having them be completely subpar.

For TNA, stick with Lockdown and Bound For Glory. They never fail on those two ppv's. That's atleast what I do.

Live I personally felt like the crowd died for the last two matches due to mcmg/beer money. Them winning at least drained the life out of me.

X-division: ** 1/4 - **1/2, UX wasnt needed at all

3 way match, *1/2

KO title match *

AJ/Kaz vs Joe/Terry ***, crowd was really into this, Joe was over as hell and Terry didnt fuck up, good shit.

Mex/Morgan **1/2, those attempts to the bordertoss didnt look like botches to me.

Flair/Lethal ***1/4 - ***1/2, way better than expected, Flair busted his ass in this match, he still can go despite being 61, kudos to him to put over Lethal clean.

Guns/BMI ****, match of the night

Angle/Pope ***1/4 - ***1/2, I expected more from these 2, but this was Pope's first match in months and he was still rusty.

World Title match **1/2

Overall I give it 7.25/10

Slammiversarry 2010

1. Kurt Angle vs KAZ - ***3/4
2. Doug Williams vs Brian Kendricks - **3/4
3. Madison Rayne vs Roxxi - 1/4*
4. Brother Ray vs Jesse Neal - 1/2*
5. Matt Morgan vs Hernandez - 1/2*
6. Abyss vs Desmond Wolfe (Monsters Ball) - **1/2
7. AJ Styles vs Jay Lethal - ***1/2
8. Jeff Hardy/Mr. Anderson vs Beer Money - **3/4
9. RVD vs Sting - *1/2

Overall it was not a very good ppv. This was supposed to be one of their biggest ppv's of all time and on paper it sure looked like it. Other than Angle/KAZ and AJ/Lethal there was nothing that is ppv level here. There were no big surprises and it was held at the Impact Zone. We got no answers from Sting and the main event was not very good at all.
