Kurt Angle vs. Amazing Red-iMPACT! 06/10/10
Okay so it's Slammiversary in 3 days, and this is Angle's first match since Lockdown with Mr. Anderson. Angle wants to face an X-Division Althlete to prepare for Kazarian, so he gets his "good friend" Amazing Red.
Red catches Angle out with his speed and agility in the early going. Red was able to land on his feet from a German Suplex, Angle noticed that didn't work, so he hits a Low Belly-To-Belly.
Red's speed sends Angle to the floor and Red counters alot of Angle's stuff and hits an awesome hurracanranna on the mats. It's not often that you see Angle take those.
Angle got lucky enough to see a springboard coming so he dodged that but hits a Wolfe-style clothesline nearly taking Red's head off. Angle wanted to finish the match but Red had other ideas, planting Angle on his head on an Angle Slam attempt.
Red yet again catches Angle out with his speed when Kurt thinks he's thrown Red to the floor, Red comes back with a Code Red. Red only got a nearfall though. Angle catches Red off guard and hits a heavy german which the crowd popped for.
Red uses instict to slide out of the Angle Slam again. Angle thinks he's dodged the bullet by dodging one of Red's enzughiri's but Red flips around and hits one right in Angle's face. Red catches Angle stunned and he capitalizes with a Face-Plant hurracanranna.
After a standing shooting star press the crowd thought Red had it, but only 2. Red tries going high risk but it costs him as Angle saw it coming all the way. Angle hits an Angle Slam and that's 3.
Winner: Kurt Angle
Well I don't think you could fit much more action into four minutes. Angle was his usual self but Red looked like a star here. His agility kept catching Angle out and I would't have been surprised to see him get the win the way things were going. Judging from this match, a PPV match or an iMPACT match with 10 mins+ between these two would be awesome.
