Does anyone know when TNA are going to release any new DVDs other than PPVs?

They had a poll up where people could vote for the matches not too long ago. I imagine someone could find it.

They might as well call that BMI/MCMG DVD "TNA: Best of the Tag Team Division" cause those are the two best tag teams in mainstream wrestling.

Just for kicks, lets say the set includes a Top 7 for both teams.

For Beer Money Inc, I would include:
- Vs. LAX: TNA Tag Team Championship (Hard Justice 2008)
- Vs. Abyss/Morgan vs. Team 3D vs. LAX: TNA Tag Team Championship Monster's Ball (Bound for Glory 2008)
- Vs. LAX: TNA Tag Team Championship (New Year's Impact 2009)
- Vs. Team Canada: TNA Tag Team Championship Off the Wagon Challenge (Impact 2009)
- Vs. Team 3D: TNA/IWGP Tag Team Championship Winner Takes All (Lockdown 2009)
- Vs. The British Invasion: Team 3D Invitational Finals (Sacrifice 2009)
- Vs. Jeff Hardy & Rob Van Dam (Impact 2010)

Motor City Machine Guns
- Vs. Team 3D (Genesis 2007)
- Vs. Speed Muscle: World X Cup Preview (Impact 2008)
- USA vs. Japan vs. Mexico vs. International: World X Cup Elimination Tag Team Match (Victory Road 2008)
- w/Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Eric Young & Lethal Consequences (Sacrifice 2009)
- Vs. Lethal Consequences: Ultimate X (Impact 2009)
- Vs. Generation Me (Dark Match Tryout for The Bucks, Never Before Seen)
- Vs. Generation Me: Ultimate X (Destination X 2010)

Unfortunately on the voting they included some matches that were Steel Asylums, Ultimate Xs, & I think even the KOTM from last year. While very good spotfesty kind of matches, they don't really focus on the Guns as a team, and I'd rather they focused more on the tag team aspect of The Guns. Hell, I'd be picking up this DVD for tag team excellence right?

And then as special section of the DVD has some Beer Money/MCMG matches against each other.
- Strap Match from Impact 2008
- TNA Tag Title Match from Turning Point 2008
- And, if its good enough, why not the upcoming match from this Monday!

I would love to watch those DVDs just so I could catch up on the stuff I missed out on, before I started watching TNA in 2008.

The match between Beer Money and the guns from TP08 also deserves some love. Really underrated match

Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship
Typical X division match, which is always a praise and a criticism. There was a lot of innovation, but nothing spectacular. The match is good and it gets the crowd going, and that's all that really mattters.

***1/4

TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship
For a match that's only three minutes long, it's not bad. It resembled something you would see on iMPACT, which is fine, because the card is so stacked. Fine for what it is.

**

Three-Way Match for the TNA Legends Championship: Kevin Nash vs. Hernandez vs. Eric Young
Here's a nice little undercard match. I liked the storyline of Young outbidding Angle for Nash's services (though how Young has more money than Angle is beyond me), and that Nash promises to protect Young. A lot of people said they saw the twist coming, which is lucky for me, because I didn't. Hernandez looks really good here, there are some nice double-team efforts, and the crowd seems pretty surprised at the end. Fun little match.

**1/4

That's my review for now, more later.
Here's the rest of my review:

Full Metal Mayhem Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championship
What I like about this match is that it incorporated the top four tag teams in TNA in 2009. These guys had been feuding with each other in different ways over the year and it all came to a head in an anything goes match. I didn't like how they reference TLC II at WrestleMania X-Seven. TNA should never remind fans of WWE, let alone a historic match, let alone the greatest ppv of all time.

This match was just kind of stuck in first gear. It had some solid spots, but nothing "holy shit." Great camera work on TNA's part, they cut to Brother Devon choking out Doug Williams (I think) while Booker T does the SPINEROONIE! I mean, they actually cut from Booker T for something pointless, and missed what could very well be the last televised spineroonie. It's not a big deal, but it's another example of TNA's slipshod product.

I also didn't love how Team 3D winning the IWGP titles was such an afterthought. Brother Devon pretty much just stumbled off the ladder with the belt after getting hit with a chair. Woo. Freakin'. Hoo.

The match itself was solid, though, and I'm glad it ended with The British Invasion. Beer Money should have won the IWGP titles, then.

***

Three-Way Match for the TNA Knockouts Championship
Three of the baddesst asses in the knockouts division (and of all time) kicking each other's asses, and then suddenly the match stops. Why? Because Tara got into a mini-brawl with Kim Coutoure (sp?) in an angle that was never mentioned again. This absolutely KILLED momentum for the match, as Kong and ODB looked secondary in the ring, as if a real-like shoot was occuring. They also looked stupid for continuing the match. Tara came back eventually and some of the excitement was recaptured, but it was too little, too late. The build for one feud should not come at the expense of another. Solid when it wasn't DOA.

**1/2

Bobby Lashley vs. Samoa Joe
This match could have gone either way. It could have been Goldberg vs. Scott Steiner (one of the most shockingly good matches ever) or it could have been Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar ('nuff said). It's somewhere in between, but it could have been so much more.

An ass-kicking dream match if there ever was one, these two started off trading counters, attempted submissions, innovative power moves, and I loved how Lashley was getting booed, not because I dislike him but because it told an interesting story about the fans dedication to TNA original Joe over an out-sourced "guest" wrestler.

These two were having a really fun match and then it just ended. I mean, blink and you'll miss it. There was no middle, no build up. This match was all "feeling out" and then conclusion. I felt that way in October and still feel that way now, and believe me I tried to rationalize. This was a pretty good match, but it was just the first third of a pretty good match. It could have been good with five more minutes, great with ten.

**1/2

Mick Foley vs. Abyss
Here's another dream match that luckily got enough time. The problem was that these two have wrestled so many hardcore matches that now they all look the same. So we've definitely seen this match before. Nothing special, definitely a letdown, and the pinfall was very weak.

**1/4

Kurt Angle vs. Matt Morgan
Angle flew around like crazy for Morgan, and Morgan stepped up but still looked like was rehearsing for a match. This is the classic problem in TNA, that it all looks choreographed, and Morgan exemplified that. The story was great, and there were some nice near-falls, so on the basis of getting enough time and making the most of it, I give this a thumps up.

***

TNA World Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles vs. Sting
Same story as Joe/Lashley. For 14 minutes, these two told a great story. There was respect, counter after counter after counter, some big moves, and crowd was loving it! But when that wasn't there the match was very quiet, seemingly setting a more deliberate pace. So when the match ended with a top-rope splash (not the 450, spiral tap, or styles clash), it was "WTF" incarnate. These guys were having a great match, but like Joe/Lashley, it had no ending. It was all beginning, some middle, no end.

Watch the match again, and for the pace that they're setting, you would rightfully think they had another 10 minutes to go. Another ten minutes and this would have been a CLASSIC, hands down.

To add insult to injury, the last few minutes of the show is dedicated to Sting on the mic, when that time should have gone to the match. And worse, it's not like Sting pulled a Flair and screamed out "I WILL NEVER RETIRE!!!" or somberly said goodbye to his fans. No, he got the mic and said "yeah, I don't know," which, while truthful is a real cop-out of an ending, especially to follow a match that just got cut short for this. So basically, the main event ended early so Sting could get on the mic and not really settle anything.

***1/4

Like WM XXV, this ending just left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe they shouldn't interviewed BOTH knockouts tag teams before their 3-minute match. That was time well spent.

All in all, what I like about Bound for Glory in general is that it always has a deep card. Tag matches, X Division matches, women's matches, title matches, grudge matches, and ONE big main event. This certainly had a deep card, the deepest of any BFG, but it also suffered for it. Whereas the '06-'08 editions only had a couple of main events that got enough time, TWO out of the four main events here got clipped.

This show might have been much more with another hour, or even 1/2 hour, but the result just feels good-intentioned but rushed, and I know TNA had been planning this thing since the summer. Pretty good show hampered by rushed finishes and a lousy ending. Not as good as the 2008 show and certainly a far cry from the 2007 show.
