Post anything related to TNA DVDs here. Questions, match ratings, suggestions, news, ect... are all welcomed.

Couple of questions to start things off (since the other threads were closed)

BGLWrestlingGod: Should I get Turning Point 05?

Jack Evans 197: Should I get Destination X 07?

liljayl23: Best TNA PPVs to buy on DVD?

I noticed on the Doomsday - Best of Abyss DVD, during the Sting/Abyss match it looks like it's clipped as one minute they're both in the ring, then there's a small white flash and then they're outside the ring half way up the ramp.Is it like that on the actual Genesis 2006 DVD as well ?

I don't know if this is the reason, but during that match Mike Tenay and Don West were reading their comment on a paper at the moment Abyss and Sting were fighting to the back. It's funny to see because they were saying: Abyss throws Sting through the door! while they were actually reading a paper. I think this is the part they ripped from the DVD.

Definitely a great ppv, one of TNA's best.

I'll need to watch it again but I remember my Japan/USA rating being much higher, atleast ***3/4.

Also, *3/4 is a little harsh for Joe/Sabu. I know it was short but I would go atleast **1/2.

From what I remember

Japan/USA-***3/4
Senshi/Daniels-***1/4
Xscape-***1/2
Joe/Sabu-**1/2-**3/4
3D/Canada-**1/2
Cage/Abyss-****-****1/4
Lethal Lockdown-***3/4

TNA HOME VIDEO TO RELEASE EXTENDED “GLOBAL iMPACT!” ON DVD

On Thursday night, TNA and SpikeTV presented the “Global iMPACT!’ special, featuring the TNA superstars traveling to the far-east to face the superstars of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

TNAwrestling.com has learned that TNA Home Video will be releasing an extended DVD of the event coming to ShopTNA.com . Once we have an official release date for the DVD we will post it here on the website.

The three-hour DVD will feature complete matches from the TNA vs. New Japan event at the Tokyo Dome, as well as more behind-the-scenes documentary footage and interviews with the TNA stars in Japan that didn’t air on SpikeTV.

TNAwrestling.com will have more information on the TNA vs. New Japan DVD release in the coming weeks.
Now this DVD has potential. Can't wait.

I am looking forward to the best of Kurt angle set. Also, I rented Doomsday: Best of Abyss, I really enjoyed watching him. It showed he had guts, the amount of pain he suffered in that was brutal. I just wonder now what it would be like in a No Holds Barred match between Mick Foley and Abyss. TNA style?.

LAX vs Rave/Hoyt-**1/2 (great energy and a great finish in the short match)
Kaz/Black Reign-**1/4 (pretty good for a black reign match)
Kim/Kong No DQ-***1/2 (great women match, altough I missed a real brawl like Storm and Harris had)
Judas/Abyss-**1/2 (nothing special)
Booker/Sharmell vs Roode/Brooks-**1/2 (good action)
3D/Devine vs MCMG/Lethal UX-***1/4 (I wasn't realy into this one, but the match told a great story)
AJ/Tomko vs Nash/Joe-*** (some great action, which you could expect with Joe, AJ and Tomko) in the ring.
Angle/Cage-****-****1/4 (great match wrestling wise, but somehow I didn't care who was going to be the winner)

The 10 man Tag war almost makes me wanna buy TP, but other than Kim/Kong and Booker/Kaz vs Cage/Roode, there is nothing else I like.

It's a good sign that TNA is putting really solid TV matches on their DVD releases. First Angle/Kaz on Genesis and now the tag war on Turning Point.

I would like to see the AJ/Kaz ladder match or the Cage/AJ/Joe match on the FR DVD.

TNA Lockdown 2007

X Division Xcape Match(Sharkboy/Shelley/Sabin/Dutt/Lethal)-***3/4
Petey Williams/Robert Roode-**1/2
Gail Kim/Jackie Moore-**1/2
Senshi/Austin Starr-***-***1/4
Harris/Storm-Blindfold Match-DUD(I pretty much just fast forward thru this, it's hard to watch.)
Jerry Lynn/Christopher Daniels-***1/4(They had a hard act to follow after the blindfold match, by the end the crowd is atleast back into it.)
Team 3D/LAX-Electrified Cage-***1/4-***1/2(The gimmick came off horribly, but the match itself is pretty damn solid.)
Lethal Lockdown(Joe/Sting/Jarrett/Rhino/Angle vs Steiner/Cage/AJ/Tomko/Abyss-****1/4(Great stuff, the crowd is fully redeemed by this point.)

Overall, I would say this PPV is unfairly hated on sometimes. I've seen people call it the "Worst PPV of 2007." Are u kidding?

There were atleast 10 WWE/TNA PPV's that were worse than Lockdown in 2007.

Sure, it had 2 gimmicks that came off horribly, but the card as a whole is fairly solid.

Plus, Lethal Lockdown was one of the 5 best TNA matches of the year.
