Yes, that was it. I think it is in one of the pages in the TNA Media section.

Kind of ironic that Rikishi's most notable matches in WWE and TNA were awesome 8 or 10 person tags (the one mentioned above for TNA, for WWE from Raw in 2000 with The Rock/Cactus jack/Rikishi/Too Cool vs. Triple H/XPac/Benoit/Saturn/Malenko).

That 8-man Tag is indeed one of the best Impact matches ever. Easily **** although I have only seen it once, when it aired.
Another forgotten impact classic is the three-way dance between AJ, Joe and Sabin on Thanksgiving night in 2007. It was the Turkey Bowl Final. I remember there were a lot commercials, but the action was incredible. I think the match ran close to thirty minutes.

I just found out about that match. That was during the period where I stopped watching TNA (watched from 02 to 07 but the Summer of 07 turned me off of TNA for about a year. The World X Cup brought me back). If anyone happens to have that match, an upload in the media section would be lovely.

TNA Turning Point 2008

1. X division rankings match - ***1/2
2. Roxxi/Wilde vs Kong/Saeed - *1/4
3. Rhino vs Abdul Bashir - *1/4
4. Beer Money vs MCMG - ***1/2
5. Booker T vs Christian - **3/4
6. Kurt Angle vs Abyss (falls count anywhere) - ****
7. Kevin Nash vs Samoa Joe - **
8. Sting vs AJ Styles - **3/4

Overall this was a pretty decent event that TNA gave us. The x division match was very good but the rankings didnt mean shit. The knockouts match sucked ass. Rhino and Abdul put on a very very lame match aswell and Scott Hall didnt help matters at all. Beer Money and MCMG put on the best TNA tag team match of the year by a mile. Some really amazing spots and near falls. I liked the match. I wish it was longer though.

Christian also carried Booker T to a really good match. It was about ten minutes and it started of slow but than it really picked up towards the end. I really liked it and was tempted to go towards the full 3 stars. Angle and Abyss put on one of the best matches that both men have had in their TNA careers. A classic FCA match and even though there were not alot of weapons they still put on a classic.

Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe put on a weird match. I almost gave this match a dud rating. First of all they made Samoa Joe job to Nash. Nash killed him with about 3 powerbombs and busted Samoa Joe open. the ref also never DQ'd Nash for using a chair even though it wasnt a NO DQ match. Still it had a few nice spots so I gave it that rating. Sting and AJ put on probably the most overrated match of the year. It was literally Sting working on AJ's ribs with some very slow and basic moves for 15 minutes and than when AJ finally makes a very weak comeback the match ends with a rollup because AJ was too stupid to go for the pin after he had Sting defeated. Their Bound For Glory 09 match was much much better in my opinion. Their Turning Point match also just seemed very boring.

Its a pretty good ppv overall and probably one of TNA's best ppv's of the year 2008. Angle and Abyss put on a MOTYC and we saw some other solid stuff. I just didnt like that the Main event mafia won every match they were in, but I guess at the time it was needed to give them credibility as a stable.

That was my PPV of the year for TNA last year honestly. Ouch for the Joe/nash and Sting/AJ ratings. I enjoyed those more. I wouldn't say that the women's tag sucked by the way. Decent at best. Only bad match on the show to me was Rhino/Bashir.

At the time, I was legitimately angry over Joe losing. In hindsight though, I thought the match was worked pretty nicely. Joe was killing until he went into the post. It pretty much took Nash every trick in the book to beat him from the chair, to the post without the padding, to two jack knifes, to even the low blow. I had it at *** anyway. Unfortunately they did not follow up with Joe very well after this.

As for Sting/AJ, I thought that the drama was good and whatnot. I haven't watched it in a long time, but I was not disappointed at least. One of Sting's better matches in TNA which is not saying much. I think this match was actually the last time Styles busted out the Spiral Tap as well, but I could be wrong.

I think I have watched too many PWG ppv's since I didnt think this event was all that amazing lol.

I thought Sting and AJ would work better but when Sting worked on AJ's ribs it was very slow and nothing special at all. Ok so I am fine with that up until this point. Now AJ makes his comeback about 15 minutes in and he makes a small comeback. He hits the Spiral tap and instead of pinning him, he goes for another one. What is this, HHH/Hardy from Cyber Sunday. At the end AJ gets rolled up and looks like a dumbass for not winning the belt when he had the perfect chance. Not only does Sting dominate the match but he also ends up winning it by showing he was smarter than AJ. It just made AJ look bad in my opinion.

Next I will do Final Resolution.

Main reason that I liked the show was that it provided a bunch of good wrestling (The opener, the tag title, Angle/Abyss, Nash/Joe, Sting/AJ) which is over half of the show.

That is true regarding Styles. The only logic I could find behind it was to further solidfy the "veteran" thinking of the Mafia (despite the fact that AJ was a 10 year pro at the time) while AJ also trying to completely seal the deal with Sting. I do see your point though.

TNA should of re-release the Jeff Hardy dvd around the same time as WWE dvd. It would of been a great business move.

Turning Point 2008

X-Division Rankings Match - ***1/4
Taylor Wilde/Roxxi vs. Awesome Kong/Raisha Saeed - **1/2
Rhino vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir - * i guess?
Tag Team Titles: Beer Money vs. Motor City Machine Guns - ***3/4
Legends Title: Booker T vs. Christian Cage - **1/2
Falls Count Anywhere: Kurt Angle vs. Abyss - ****1/4
Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash - ***
World Title: Sting vs. AJ Styles - ***1/4

I actually really liked the PPV as well. The opener was great, of course like you said the rankings meant nothing. Enjoyed the knockouts match surprisingly, I like Roxxi's physicality and it went well with Kong, plus I like how they had them win without Kong being a part of it. Rhino/Bashir was just shit. Lasted way too long, couldn't keep my attention, the gore didn't even go over well. The Tag Title match was damn good, they really tried to have an ROH-style tag match, and I would've went higher but I got the feeling that it was just a little too overdone. The guns should've won about 4 times. Legends Title, nothing special. I'm so glad Booker's gone now. Angle and Abyss was incredible, rating speaks for itself. To my biggest surprise I really liked Joe/Nash. I loved the physicality, you could feel the hatred, and I wouldn't call it jobbing by Joe or anything. Mafia had to pull off the wins that night and it was perfect for Nash to have to cheat and throw everything he had at Joe to get the win. Sting/AJ could've been better, but still a solid main event with a few nice spots and another ending that made sense to me. Great show.

I only hated one thing about MCMG/BM and that was when Beer Money was kicking out clean from all those huge impact moves that MCMG were doing. I really think WWE has them beat in this department. In WWE, in a tag team match when the faces do some double team move that should end the match the heels dont kick out clean but rather have their partner come in there to break it up. In TNA on the other hand the faces can pull of some of the biggest moves of all time and the heels will still kick out clean. It makes the crowd cheer for them more instead of boo them. Anyone else feel the same way?
