Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
It's that damn good that it's the best match of the decade in all of wrestling.
Just edges out Angle/Benoit.

Another TNA classic, everything you need in a Cage match, only problem is the slightly pathetic camerwork in portions of the match.

WOW, Better cameraman = higher star rating, apparently

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
AMW/XXX-***** (Without hesitation, best NA tag match of all time IMO)
Joe/AJ-****3/4-***** (Go back and forth on it, had it at the lower end before but watched it recently and thought it was the full 5 again)
2 of the best matches in TNA history

Unbreakable 3 way - *****
xXx vs. AMW - ****3/4 (My highest ****3/4 I have)
AJ vs. Joe - ****3/4
AJ vs. Joe at Sacrifice 05 doesn't get enough love. ****1/2 from me. If I made a list it'd probably be in my top 10 TNA matches ever.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
For once and for all I bumped xXx/AMW to the full 5, it's fuckung awesome. From now on I have 4 TNA matches at 5 stars and that's how it will be for a while.
Invincible, never seen AJ/Joe before?

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Every Turning Point has given us one of the best matches in TNA history:
AMW vs. XXX in Six Sides of Steel - My pick for Best Match in TNA history and one of the best tag matches of the decade bar none. It had everything. Tag Team action. High flying. Violence. Old School tactics. It was just a perfect hodge podge of everything and it all clicked.
AJ vs. Joe for the X Title - My personal favorite X Division title match & TNA MOTY for 2005 IMO. Awesome battle of David & Goliath. AJ took the worst beating I've ever seen him take, but he also displayed his tenacity which really made the match special. I wasn't a huge fan of their Sacrifice match (it was really good, but I thought it was a little overrated when it first happened) but this one just blew it away.
Joe vs. Angle II - This was the best match that Angle & Joe had together, and not only was it and awesome exchange between two of the best, it was also one of the matches in the series that Joe won, which made it great. I've pretty much always liked Joe more than Angle anyway, so yeah. This is arguably the best Heavyweights match in TNA history.
Gail vs. Kong for the KO Title - This one is kind of a stretch as far as greatest matches of all time, but its definately one of the greatest women's matches you'll ever see. And believe it or not, Kong & Gail were able to surpass this with their next PPV encounter. On a somewhat lackluster show, these girls manage to provide a huge bright spot and stole the show.
Abyss vs. Angle in Falls Count Anywhere - I'm the only one, but I think this is TNA's MOTY for 2008. But everybody seems to agree that it was a pretty awesome match up. One of the best hardcore matches in TNA history. I really liked the way the match was put together with Abyss basically chasing Angle like Jason Voorhees does his victims.
So in 04 we got one of the best Tag Matches; in 05 we got one of the best X matches; in 06 we got one of the best heavyweight matches, in 07 we got one of the best Women's matches; and in 08 we got one of the best Hardcore matches. Cool!

I need to catch up on the Kong/Gail series, Only seen Kong vs Gail where the BP cost Gail the title.
That was around **1/2 from memory, Great TV match.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Just watched Angle/Joe (Lockdown) for the second time and it I lowered my rating from ****1/2 to ****.
Great mix of MMA and wrestling, but I missed some more back and forth. There were too much submission moves, a few more minutes with back and forth action would have made the match much better. Still a great match.
