Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

The Monty/Joe/Rhino 3 Way was awesome, and they did an amazing job of setting the match up on Impact. Too bad we never got Joe vs. Monty one on one, but it was still a very good match.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Why doesn't this section have a reference to PPV and individual DVD reviews/ratings like the WWE DVD section? That could be pretty helpful.

What DVD would you guys say is a better DVD - AJ Styles "Phenomenal"(vol. 1) or Samoa Joe (vol. 1)?

When I was a TNA mod I thought about it. And just a few months ago I had a list of PPV review links as I thought about it once again, but the TNA section is too small and it's always cluttered with stickies. Maybe if the section ever expands to more than just one section, then it could be something that's strongly considered.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Well AJ Volume 1 is all stuff from the weekly era mostly, while the Joe DVD is somewhat more recent stuff and might already have some stuff you've seen before.

The Joe DVD has most of the quintessential X division stuff during their peak period, while the AJ DVD has more matches but a few of them aren't true classics or anything.

I'd probably go with the Joe DVD, but both AJ volumes are both required viewing as well.

I know they both have the Unbreakable match which is a must. And I love Joe/Sabin match also so that might be the best one. I think the Daniels/Joe iMPACT match is on there as well.

Plus the Joe DVD has both of his classic matches with AJ I believe and the FR 06 match with Daniels which is also around ****.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I say get the Joe DVD as well. The AJ dvd is good, but it doesn't have as many great matches as the Joe one does. I guess it all depends on which wrestler you like better.

Proud supporter of PWG, probably the best wrestling company in the universe. Probably.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I haven't seen that AJ/Samoa Joe match in a long time where Joe really worked stiff and busted AJ's lip. I remember loving that match also especially when AJ 'hulked up'.

AJ is on almost every TNA DVD so it's not like I'll miss out on some of his great work either.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I own the Samoe Joe DVD, pretty cool DVD, they show about 8 PPV matches with a few Impact matches, and in between matches he does a short interview where he discusses certain parts of his life. I haven't watched the full DVD yet, but there are some pretty incredible matches on there....the Joe/AJ matches from TP and Sacrifice, Unbreakable 3-Way, Joe/Sabin at NS, and Joe/Daniels at FR.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Never picked up the Joe DVD, so I can't really say, but the AJ Vol 1 DVD is a very good pick up, especially if you are intrested in getting some of the best stuff from TNA's early days.
