^ I wouldn't call it amazing. But it was pretty good. The rest of the great card made up for the flaws of the ppv anyway

Just watched Sting/Joe for the 3rd time and I stand by my **** rating quite easily, and that it was slightly better than Sting/Angle last year.

The match had great heat, felt like a big match, and Joe's performance was off the charts. Not only did the stuff in the crowd work, it was absolutely tremendous. From Joe's balcony dive to Sting's splash into the chairs or Joe's running kick while Sting was propped on the wall. All of it was great, and the psychology they used afterwards was tremendous.

Despite how it all went down, I love this match. With the storyline taking precedence, I don't even really mind the finish that much.

Sting/Joe- ***1/2. Good match, and the first match in TNA that I have watched that had the "Big Match" feel to it. I agree on Joe's performance, as this was Joe's best performance this year IMO. The only thing that keeps it from **** is the poorly executed finish, and towards the end it got a little to slow for my liking.

I wouldn't blame anybody for giving it **** tbh. Aussiefan's ****3/4 rating is a little TOO high.

Yeah that's way too high, but I can see why people are mostly giving it around ***1/2 cause of certain things but I loved this match.

I thought both of the double main events really felt like big matches and that's something that TNA should be applauded for cause the build for both matches was really great.

Yeah. TNA delivered on both of their main event matches, but Sting/Joe just felt like a bigger match to me.

I just hope that TNA can build on this momentum that they built on this show. Sadly, they had a good wave of momentum going after the Lockdown Pay Per View, but they failed to capitalize on it. I hope they do the exact opposite this time.

Nah Joe's best bout this year has been Angle/Joe at Lockdown. Something special was in the air that night.

The ending ruined the match for me. If it was done differently maybe it could have got a **** but it only started getting going when Joe stopped the beat down to allow old man Nash to take baby steps to the ring and killed the momentum. Shame. I'd give it ***1/4.

Which BFG do you guys consider best?

1. BFG 07 (Maybe not in overall match quality, this is just personal preferance)
2. BFG 08 (Phenomenal, one of the best cards TNA has ever had imo)
3. BFG 06 (Plain awesome)
4. BFG 05 (good but not great)

All were incredible shows except 05 but it was still good

I'd give it to 2006.

I really liked them all. 05 was really good in the way they booked the Rhino thing, and considering they lost thier main event the day before, they did a damn good job. AJ/Daniels & Monster's Ball were the two standout matches with severall other solid matches sprinkled in, and like I said, I loved how they handled the main event situation.

06 was the best show held outside of Orlando, which made it feel huge, and it was just a great action packed show all around. The two really great matches were AJ/Daniels vs. LAX & Sabin vs. Senshi which were easily two of the best matches of 2006. Everything else was really good too from the X Gauntlet, to the 4 way tag, to Monster's Ball, to Cage/Rhino, to the entertaining Sting/Jarrett. Hell even EY vs. Larry was good for a laugh. We also got a Joe/Angle brawl thron in as well which was awesome.

07 was just f'n stacked with 5 great matches (Sting/Angle, Joe/Christian, LAX/XXX, Lethal/Daniels, & yes even Steiner/3D), a surprisingly solid tag title match & Monster's Ball, and two battle royal type matches that served their purpose (crowning the 1st women's champ while showcasing the other girls, and getting the FFTR Tourney set up) There was nothing on this show that was even average. Everything delivered big time on this show IMO.

And 08 certainly delivered as well. It started off great with the usual X Division showcase match as Steel Asylum really delivered. Bimbo Brawl was ok for filler. X & KO title matches were pretty solid, but everything kicked into high gear from there. Monster's Ball was awesome. Aj/Booker/Cage was very good. Jarrett/Angle was a huge match and was great. Sting vs. Joe was very intense and a great way to close.

Overall, I'd say 07 is my favorite, but all four shows delivered extremely well IMO.
