Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Unbreakable 2005 vs. Turning Point 2004 vs. No Surrender 2005

Of the three, my pick if Turning Point 2004. The show just featured an awesome mix of old talent & young talent, and featured some great matches. Monty vs. Abyss, DDP vs. Raven, Sabin vs. Petey, & my pick for greatest match in TNA history AMW vs. XXX in Six Sides of steel. The match wasn't great, but the Superstar Six Man was a nice attraction to have on there, and most every other match was at the very least solid. I might be in the minority, but I really enjoyed the parodies of Vince & HHH. Funny stuff.

No Surrender 2005 is one of their best shows from a pure wrestling standpoint. Not a whole lot was going on storyline wise & I had a hard time getting excited for the show because TNA wasn't on TV at the time, but the matches delivered. The stand outs were AMW vs. Bentley/Shelley (surprisingly), AJ vs. Waltman, Joe vs. Sabin, Daniels vs. Petey, & Raven vs. Abyss. All really good matches, & the ending with Rhino's debut was a great way to close.

My least favorite of the 3 is Unbreakable, but its still a good show. The main event is obviously the main reason to check it out as Joe, Daniels, & AJ tore down the house. Sabu & AByss had a really good hardcore match as did Raven & Rhino, & I remember liking the four way tag between AMW, Nats, Canada, & Shelley/Candido. Nothing else really stand out to me. I remember Monty/Kip vs. Apolo/Siaki and thinking "What in the hell did Monty do to deserve this?" This is the only one of the three that I don't have on DVD so my memory is a little fuzzy to be fair.

No love for Strong/Aries or Petey/Sabin?

Petey/Sabin was good. Nowhere near as good as their TP04 match, but still a good match up. However, it was supposed to be Sabin vs. Shocker which is what the build up was leading to, but Shocker had some kind of dispute and things had to be changed last minute. What can you do.

Aries/Strong I really don't remember. That match is a blur to me.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Selected a match at random to watch today. Was very happy with the outcome.

TNA Sacrifice 2007
Chris Harris vs. James Storm (Texas Deathmatch)
****1/4

Still my favourite brawl in TNA. Harris and Storm really make you believe they just want to destroy each other

Triple X vs. AMW is *****
It was the first TNA match that I ever saw and I haven't seen anything from TNA that has been better.

Just watched AJ/Joe form Turning Point 05 again. Awesome match *****, does anybody else feel like it should've been ME in that show, I really don't remember that much from the actual ME.

Yeah it was by far MOTN. It's number 2 on my list of TNA's best matches and #7 in my list of all NA matches.
I was thinking about doing my final in-depth review of TNA's 5 best matches tonight, but since we're so close to BFG, I delayed it. I'll review and post it next week. And of course it's the Unbreakable 3-Way.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Shop TNA once again has the 5 random DVDs for $30 deal for those interested.

All this talk of No Surrender 2005 and Unbreakable has peaked my interest and I might have to go back and watch them this weekend. Haven't seen them in a good while.
