Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
I didn't really think it killed the point really, Daniels did what he had to cause Konnan was all over him and Styles had taken himself out of the match at that point.
It's part of the reason I consider bumping it to ****1/2, wihtout it tho it's definitely still atleast ****1/4 to me.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
I loved the ending because it was something new and very unexpected.
Whose all seen that horrible Petey/Lethal match. Good lord I couldn't believe they did that lol. I was embarrassed for both guys in there.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
OK, I'm bored again.
Ranking the PPVs from each year:
2004: (this was easy!)
1) Turning Point 2004 (awesome)
2) Victory Road 2004 (good)
2005:
1) Turning Point (awesome)
2) Final Resolution
3) No Surrender
4) Lockdown
5) Bound for Glory (good)
6) Sacrifice
7) Genesis - TBH I need to watch this one again.
8) Unbreakable
9) Against All Odds (average)
10) Hard Justice
11) Slammiversary
12) Destination X (bad, worst PPV in TNA history IMO)
2006:
1) Slammiversary (awesome)
2) Bound for Glory
3) Lockdown
4) Genesis
5) Sacrifice
6) Against All Odds
7) Destination X (good)
8) Turning Point
9) Final Resolution
10) Hard Justice (average)
11) No Surrender
12) Victory Road (bad)
2007:
1) Bound for Glory (awesome, personal pick for best PPV in TNA history)
2) Sacrifice
3) No Surrender
4) Slammiversary
5) Victory Road
6) Final Resolution (good)
7) Genesis
8) Destination X
9) Lockdown
10) Hard Justice (average)
11) Turning Point
12) Against All Odds (bad)
2008: (so far)
1) Victory Road (awesome)
2) Slammiversary (good)
3) Lockdown
4) Final Resolution
5) Against All Odds
6) Destination X
7) Sacrifice
Maybe one day I'll try and rank all the PPVs todate from best to worst, but I think my head would explode if I tried.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Great NS review Styles. I still remember this PPV very well because it was my first TNA PPV I ever saw.
I can't remember everything butI can still see Petey going for the destroyer, but he couldn't because of his stomach. The Senshi vs Sabin match was meh, but the BFG match kicked some real ass (**** - ****1/4).
Then Staniels vs LAX: ****1/2. Awesome match, awesome ending. Daniels' jump was pretty cool and the only thing he could do. Fan's revenge was solid for what it was, but I'm not a fan of lumberjack matches. The announcement afterwards was off the charts. Kurt freaking Angle? It's real, it's damn real!
Overall not the best PPV, but I enjoyed it as my first PPV ever.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
If I remember correctly UX was going to main event NS06 but Jarret wanted to be in the ring during Angle's announcement, right? Selfish bastard............
BTW, UX was FREAKING INSANE!!!!

Glad to see that you ranked Turning Point as the best in 2005. My personal favorite TNA PPV ever.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
I personally would probably put No Surrender over TP for the best PPV of 05, but it's very close and there were so many great PPV's that year.
In 06, BFG and Lockdown would definitely be the top 2 and I also would put TP higher than what you have in 8th.
As for this year so far I'd say LD, Slammi, and VR were definitely the top 3 shows and Sacrifice was the worst. The other 3 are all pretty similar in terms of quality. (good, but not great)

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
KOTM-***1/2
AJ/Angle-****-****1/4
Petey/Kaz-***1/2-***3/4
Final Resolution 06
Hoyt/King/Lethal vs Team Canada-**1/2
LAX/Naturals-*1/4
Aries/Strong/Shelley vs Bentley/Dutt/Sabin-***1/4
VKM/DITR-*3/4
AJ/Tanahashi-***1/4 (Historically bad finish #1)
Roode/Killings-** (Somewhat bad finish)
Abyss/Rhino-**1/2
Waltman/Raven-**1/4 (Horrible finish as well)
3D/AMW-***1/4 (Historically bad finish #2, this really would be alot higher)
Daniels/Joe-****
Cage/Sting vs Jarett/Monty-***1/2
I'm not sure if I've ever seen a show so marred with bad finishes, especially in 3D/AMW and AJ/Tana. Still not a bad show tho, 5 ***+ matches and Sting's return is a great moment.
Joe/Daniels owns but not quite as good as the Impact match IMO, the first 10 minutes or so are incredible tho.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread
Havent seen FR 06. Looks like everything had a bad finish.
KOTM - ***
Angle/Styles - ****-****1/4
Petey/Kaz - ***3/4
I really hated this year's KOTM. I was excepting a spotty match like last year's
