Couple of questions to start things off (since the other threads were closed)

BGLWrestlingGod: Should I get Turning Point 05?

Jack Evans 197: Should I get Destination X 07?

liljayl23: Best TNA PPVs to buy on DVD?

I am going to do a review for a TNA DVD release I have had for a while. It is not mentioned much but it has a lot of underrated gems on it but also a lot of matches people still talk about as well.

TNA: The Best of the Bloodiest Brawls Vol. 1

This DVD holds what TNA feels is their collection of their most violent matches. And after watching this DVD it is hard to disagree with that statement. Not one of the matches on this DVD is not enjoyable. With that, here's my review.

MONSTER'S BALL Victory Road - November 2004
"The Monster" Abyss vs. "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown vs. Raven

This is a very good match to start this DVD off with. We all know the monster's ball match has become somewhat of a tradition at the Bound for Glory pay-per view now but this is the first one out of the five there have been. This doesn't come close to the second one at Bound for Glory 05 or the recent Bound for Glory 08 matches but it is still a very fun brawl. This match contains some good spots and some good moves as well. The highlights include a powerbomb on Abyss through tacks and a pounce to Abyss through a table. This match has significance as well as violence and is a fun match.

SIX SIDES OF STEEL Turning Point - December 2004
AMW vs. XXX

So much has already been said about this match that I don't think I really need to say anything about it. As everyone knows, this is an awesome match and arguably the best match in the history of TNA. I don't think you can honestly call yourself a TNA fan if you either dislike, or havent seen this match.

FINAL ASSAULT MATCH Destination X - March 2005
"The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy vs. "The Monster" Abyss

On the DVD, the case says this is a full metal mayhem match. However, it is not their match from AAO 2005 but it is their falls count anywhere match ffrom Destination X 2005. That was just to clear things up. It was named final assault because this would be the last time they would go up against each other one on one. This is a great hardcore-type match between the two as you would expect. Some spots include hardy swantoning onto Abyss on a table, Hardy leaping over a ladder to legdrop Abyss, Abyss powerbombing Hardy through a table, and a twist of fate on a ladder. I enjoyed this match a lot and there is even more fun afterwards. Abyss gets his famous bag of tacks afterwards and black hole slams poor hardy onto them. Hardy looked like a human pin cushion after this shot!

SIX SIDES OF STEEL Lockdown - April 2005
"The Phenominal" AJ Styles vs. "The Monster" Abyss

Ah another Abyss match. He is for sure the MVP of this DVD. This is imo the second best match on the DVD behind the AMW vs. XXX match. This match was a clash of styles as the high flying x-division wrestler Styles would go up against the hardcore heavyweight Abyss. They had unbelievable chemistry in this match and it was entertaining from start to finish. It was a war inside the cage and a great one at that. I personally love this match.

HOUSE OF FUN Hard Justice - May 2005
Raven vs. Sean Waltman

This match was probably the sleeper hit of the DVD as I wasn't expecting much from it. This match turned out to be tons of fun! These two had a great matchup with some sweet spots and it got pretty brutal towards the end. However, despite this being a fun match, there was only one problem. Hardy was scheduled to face Raven in this match and no showed. Waltman ended up being the last second replacement. Aside from that flaw, this was a fun match.

This is the first half of my Best of the Bloodiest Brawls Vol. 1 DVD review, I have to go now so I will do the other half later.

Scar and stitches review part 1

Jarrett vs Rhino Tp05: **** - Awesome brawling, that table spot was awesome aswell as the gore. Rhino looked super strong as it tooked everyone from team canada to help Jarrett win.

Lethal Lockdown 2006: ****1/4 - Steiners infamous "No your mother sucks!" quote in this match, what an in ring debut :p. My first lethal lockdown and this was awesome, variety was great as the new person alway's added something. Aj's spot from the ceiling was amazing.

LAX vs Phenominal angels BFG: ***** - There UX match was ****1/2 for me so I had high expectations going in and this delivered big time. LAX brought the violence towards the pheonminal angels even bringing in a fork at one stage but it turned around and broke down into a back and forth match with some awesome spots such as Super Mex's splash off the cage. LAX getting the win was a big suprise. Perfect.

Christian vs Rhino Barbwire steel cage match: **** - Excellent TV match and was just a brutal war. Rhino wanting to inflict more punishment on Cage and throwing the key away was cool aswell as the finish.

TNA, We are steel cage matches. That's 2 ***** steel cage tag team matches now (XXX/AMW is the greatest match ever for me) plus theres many more ****+ steel cage matches such as the ones reviewed and Joe/Angle etc...

Raw-Monster can you and R-Truth stop double posting all the time? Its kind of ruining this thread, I have very little intentions of even coming into this thread anymore its only when I've posted EVERYWHERE else.

I'm going to go get an admin, because this bullshit needs to stop.

----

Actually, most people know me as a constant overrater of matches... I'm just really low on Rhino/Jarret because thats what I thought the action deserved (a ***1/4). And rating that Six Sides of Steel match ***** would have to be one of the most shocking ratings I have ever seen, considering other cage matches like Hardy/Edge, xXx/AMW were MUCH better.

XXX/AMW is actually my greatest match of all time so yeah.

The Lax/Aj match deserves ***** IMO. I'm not a strict rater and won't look at the flaws to much such as Aj's botched forearm. Like XXX/AMW the match started off basically as a normal steel cage tag match but broke down much like XXX/AMW after the heels got the advantage due to cheating (hard in a cage match but they did it). Once the faces got back in control everything broke down and the action was superb all round. I'm not trying to compare this to XXX/AMW because no match compares to it but this match also had some high spots involving the top of the cage and the weapons introduced by Konnan. The ending was also enthralling and had a lot of suspense going.

I'm not to harsh on rating matches so anything thats very very good will get real high from me.
