^It's true that these last 3 ppvs I've seen have been really great but I can't say I'd prefer them over the 3 of 2005 of Sacrifice,No Surrender, and Unbreakable. All in my top 5 of that year.
So far though 2006 is proving to be as good as 2005.
Final Resolution - 05>06
Against all odds - 05<06
Destination X - 05<06
Lockdowns tough call maybe slightly favored 06
Slammiversary - 05<06
Sacrifice - 05>06
Interesting to see if the last 6 can even come close to matching the quality of the amazing run at the end of 05.
Ya know now that ya mention it, 06 PPV wise was almost just as strong as 05. 05 is still a little better and it had more really great matches, but the overall shows were pretty close in comparison.
I thought Destination X, Lockdown, Slammi, and BFG were all better than their 05 counterparts. 05's Final Resolution, Sacrifice, No Surrender, Genesis, and Turning Point were better tho. (Altho Genesis is really close)
Both Hard Justice's kinda stunk for both years, I've never seen all of AAO 06 but it looks like on paper to be a better overall show than 05's version. Then with the name changes your left with Unbreakable vs Victory Road, and that's a landslide victory for Unbreakable. (VR 06 is one of the most forgotten and not very good TNA PPV's yet)
So yeah it's actually pretty close, but 05 still has the slight advantage. You know, 07 does get crapped on by alot of people but I think Sacrifice, BFG, and No Surrender from 07 are 3 of my favorite TNA shows of all time.
