Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Quote:
1. World Title Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. Rhino (Turning Point 2005)
2. Lethal Lockdown: Sting, AJ Styles, Ron Killings, & Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, and America's Most Wanted (lockdown 2006)
3. Six Sides of Steel: AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. LAX (Bound For Glory 2006)
4. Barbed Wire Cage Match: Rhino vs. Christian Cage (Impact, November 2006)
5. Match of the Decade: Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Genesis 2006)
6. Last Rites Match: Sting vs. Abyss (Destination X 2007)
7. Texas Death Match: James Storm vs. Chris Harris (Sacrifice 2007)
8. No DQ: Abyss vs. Tomko (Slammiversary 2007)
9. Barbed Wire Massacre Match: Abyss vs. Judas Mesias (Against All Odds 2008)
This is the Best Of The Bloodiest Brawls vol 2. match listing apparently, I actually found it on the ROH site.

I own the 1st 3 matches on other DVD's, but I'll still probably pick this up considering there are some great matches on here.

Ratings for matches I've seen

Jarrett/Rhino-***3/4
Lethal Lockdown II-****
AJ/Daniels vs LAX-****1/4
Cage/Rhino-****
Joe/Angle-****1/4
Storm/Harris-****1/2
Abyss/Tomko-***-***1/4(Haven't seen it since it aired tho, so I'm not that sure on this one)
Abyss/Mesias-***1/4-***1/2

Never seen Sting/Abyss, but I've heard that one is the best of their matches.

One thing I'm glad about is that thye didn't just use all Abyss matches like the last one kinda, lots of variety here. This might not even be the final match listing but this is what ROH is advertising on their site.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

Should've put the Sting-Abyss Prison Yard match on there instead.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

The listing is good, but I already have most of the matches on various DVDs.

1. World Title Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. Rhino (Turning Point 2005) - Very good main event, and highly underrated. It was just pure chaos, and I love that.

2. Lethal Lockdown: Sting, AJ Styles, Ron Killings, & Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, and America's Most Wanted (lockdown 2006) - Loved it. This is my personal favorite Lethal Lockdown.

3. Six Sides of Steel: AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. LAX (Bound For Glory 2006) - Also great. AJ/Daniels had some of the best matches of the year with LAX & AMW, and this one was definately a keeper.

4. Barbed Wire Cage Match: Rhino vs. Christian Cage (Impact, November 2006) - Amazing. It is easily one of my favorite matches in Impact history.

5. Match of the Decade: Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Genesis 2006) - I never really thought of this as a match that would fit in "Best of the Bloodiest Brawls" but it was pretty bloody now that i think about it. It felt like they were trying to kill each other in there.

6. Last Rites Match: Sting vs. Abyss (Destination X 2007) - This match ok. The fans chanted "Fire Russo" for the first time when the casket came down from the ceiling and the whole set up looked pretty hokey. Personally, I would have preferred the Gensis match or the Prisonyard Match to be make the cut.

7. Texas Death Match: James Storm vs. Chris Harris (Sacrifice 2007) - One of the best matches in TNA history hands down!

8. No DQ: Abyss vs. Tomko (Slammiversary 2007) - Really good match up, and one of the first times people saw Tomko and thought "Whoa! Maybe he doesn't suck afterall!"

9. Barbed Wire Massacre Match: Abyss vs. Judas Mesias (Against All Odds 2008) - Appropriate match to close with, especially considering that Vol. 1 closed with the first Barbedwire Massacre.

Like I said good collection, but I already have Turning Point 05, Lockdown 06, Sacrifice 07, Bound for Glory 06, and Genesis 06, so I already have most of these matches. For the most part they got the must haves. The only big one missing is Christian vs. Abyss from Lockdown, but that one is already on the Abyss DVD I think.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I would've liked to seen this year's Lethal Lockdown, Rhino/Joe/Monty from HJ 06, and the Harris/Storm Impact rematch on there as well.

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I might have to add it to my limted Tna DVD collection. I haven't seen most of the matches and the ones that I have either when they aired or only once. There are even some that I don't know who the winners are which is a huge plus.

Abyss vs Sabu (Barbed wire), Chris Harris vs James Storm (Texas Deathmatch).

Would be great additions

Abyss/Sabu is on the first Bloodiest Brawls DVD and if you look closely, you'll see the Texas Deathmatch is on the list.

That match listing is pretty damn good imo. I have 3 of the matches already on DVD so I don't think I'll be buying it though. I need to get Best of 2007 sometime...

Re: Official TNA DVD Help/Discussion/Review Thread

I'm pretty confused as to why Joe/Angle is on the DVD.
