Anyone else concerned about the upcoming changes?

Referring to the new (or old) regime of Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Sullivan, Scott D'Amore etc.
For one, these guys have ran the show before and have only managed to get TNA so far. For the past few months, TNA hasn't been better in years and years. The booking just makes sense and now things are getting changed around (again) I am concerned.
Am I wrong? Should I be excited, or nervous?

Sorry I disagree on the first part. I think they have a good base and while some of the roster is not as exciting as the rest I do not see the roster as boring. I mean you have Hardys, Decay, EC3, Galloway and Lashley all playing their parts well. They could use some better story lines and booking of course but all are solid. I understand you do not like it right now but different strokes for different folks and I think for the most part they are doing good for most fans. They just need to keep getting better and bring in some fresh blood. Focus on the guys who are doing good and try and work with the ones who are not to find their groove. It can be done just look at Matt. When he was doing his thing while Jeff was out hurt most people wanted him to go away and never return. Then he got to cut loss with his Broken character and most people love it. Some, even ones who say they are not big TNA watchers, even say it is best thing going in wrestling right now. So that shows what the right character can do for a wrestler.

As far as touring of course they need to do that but after losing so much money and not having enough to cover the lost they had to stop. Now with Anthem they will work on a smart plan on how to slowly go on the road. I think one place them might want to try is right here in Lakeland. It is not far from their home base of Orlando and they are hosting ROH's Supercard of Honor here. We are only about an hour from Orlando and Tampa which is two big markets. If Supercard does well for ROH then TNA should think about it. Hit a few other places in Florida then outside Atlanta and Nashville would be good stops.

You should be excited and for one simple reason....Dixie is legit gone from TNA.

I know its a point for two months people always bring up but people don't realize, especially these last two years, how detrimental and damaging Dixie Carter was to the company and everything around it. The same person who got TNA off Spike TV, the same person who sent a scathing email to Destination America's director of programming on accident when they were already on rocky edges with a channel after debuting three months ago, the same person who has prevented TNA from partnering with other promotions because of how atrocious and undisciplined they ran the company, the same person who let the likes of AJ, Joe, Roode, EY, Aries, King, MVP, Magnus, almost Storm, and etc. go without a single fight or determination to keep them, the same person who spent like a money mark (even worse than WCPW and that is saying something) on anything she would think could pop a rating or "compete with WWE" and it failed....

I can go on and on but you get the idea. Dixie was the constant in TNA failing time after time again. I know people have their doubts with Jarrett back in power but I'll take it over Dixie/Gaburick's era any day. I will take Jarrett being a multiple time NWA champion from the 2004-2006 period over what the FUCK we have been getting for mostly two years now. Jarrett has learned from his mistakes, there is no Dixie or Gaburick to override or block him, Dutch/D'Amore (credited for the great years in TNA) are back, promotions want to work with TNA again, they're actually going to rebrand the company which is long overdue. Hell, they might even be back on Spike (or Paramount TV I guess) in 2018 if they play their cards right. Spike HATED Dixie and Russo and always liked Jarrett and his friendly personality.

This company cannot get worse than it has been lately. It will get better, IMO. The pros overweight the cons. I'm actually excited for these March tapings because that is when the new Jarrett era for TNA starts. I have faith they will do absolutely well.

Nothing wrong with the roster, just Gaburick's booking. He held a number of guys/girls back.

I am not concerned because I never had a problem with Jeff's creative and booking for the most part, major exception was him putting the title on him a bit too much, just his business sense. Since he is not in charge of that I think TNA should be fine. I am optimistic about the future. I think Jeff, and those in charge above him, see what is working like Broken Matt and Rosemary and Allie and will focus on that in booking and creative. I just hope people realize growth will be slow and take time. Of all the mistakes TNA has made in the past the one that I think a lot of people over look is that they probably tried growing too fast. I hope they take what they have and slowly make changes and do things to help them grow at a decent pace. Then in 2-3 years we can look back and see how far they have come from where they are now.

I don't see how anyone could think Tue product is good right now. The brand few very flat and average. The roster is beyond boring compared to before. This coming tapings better bring a entire new brand with a new direction. The way itsbeenhas done nothing for th company.

One thing I will say though is no matter howgoodit gets they just wontgrow in that stupid. Everyone knows a wrestling company is built around touring and having paid fans. You don't tour you don't grow

I am concerned new creative may not appreciate the talent of my queen Rosemary as well of some other wrestlers, like Eli Drake for example.

Also the whole BROKEN universe can be dropped.

Scott D'More will make TNA great again. He is probably one of the best bookers in the heir or of the business. His run as TNA booker in the 2000s was amazing. Everyone was pushed. It was a fantastic thing to watch, even when Jarrett's ego was running wild and he wanted to be booked invincibly, D'More was still able to make guys like Joe and Styles and LAX, Christian Cage look like utter superstars who could take on any talent WWE had at the time.

Very exciting times ahead.

I agree without Dixie they would never have got kicked off Spike. You can not get kicked off what you are not on. She got them kicked off but also got them on in the first place. I have said it before and will keep saying it, Dixie did bad but people tend to forget the good. I wish people would realize that. Knock her if you want but be fair and point out the good. It was not all bad. I mean damn, she just ran TNA she is not an ex >:)

Just the idea of having Dutch Mantell on the team is good enough for me. But Kevin Sullivan has a wealth experience going back to his time at WCW, and Jarret is good too. I just hope we don't see some sort of invasion type angle sometime in the future. I hate them, and it feels like Jarrett is always involved with them.

If the changes are No More Hardys then it is a major concern. This can seriously fuck TNA more than ever right now. As good as the product might get (it was already good with Corgan & co) TNA has no big draw other than the Hardys. If they want to go old school and get rid of the Broken Hardys then they'll be in big trouble.

Will they?

I'm for one am bored with the Hardys taking up the entire show.

Sorry to dig up an old topic (especially as it's one of my own), but I feel it's relevant because last Thursday all of my fears came to pass... The latest 're-boot' attempt was one of the worse shows I've ever seen. From the questionable booking in every single match, to the constant inferiority complex towards WWE ... it made me embarrassed as fuck to be a TNA fan. Not even looking forward to tonight's show for the first time in years!

Anyone that is concerned clearly doesn't like change or understand business. This has been needed for a long time and obviously it's going to take months more of a lot more things to actually come together we haven't seen anything just yet. This is very exciting because in my opinion since I watch this when they giving the business side of this company has been ran so bad and not professionally enough so I'm already seeing it behind the scenes beer and better. The last two years has been the most boring roster of this company's history. Yes I had a couple really good stars but it is time for a whole new list on the roster. It is time absolutely number one for this company to have a brand name identity that people clearly understand and know. That is one name finally and moving forward I think in a couple of months people are going to see this company run really well and turn itself around it'll take a while. 2002 we had a whole list of new wrestlers and it was really exciting and not so people need to remember that they are going to get back to that and start over

I'm ECSTATIC. Last weeks episode was the first one I've watched fully in like 6 months, and I enjoyed it. The announcers thing is overdone, but I'm hoping they'll tone that down progressively. It looked and felt like a HQ TV show again. The crowd was more alive, (or just miced better.) The clips I did watch felt like a dying indy company before the new regime took over.

And I am SO glad that "broken" bullshit is over. Shit had jumped the shark ages ago. It's time for them to rebuild the roster and focus on the future. Not letting Matt and Jeff jerk themselves off 4 segments a show.
