Confirmed: Dixie has quietly left TNA, chairman was just her saving face, Billy/Aroluxe now in charge

From F4W..

Ever since Billy Corgan took over as the President of TNA Wrestling, we’ve been getting emails asking about Dixie Carter’s status. Dave Meltzer reported months ago that Dixie Carter’s exit from the company would be a face-saving move. That is basically what happened when TNA announced this month that Carter would remain as Chairman of the company and Corgan would take on the day-to-day operations.

Carter was at the recent tapings but she was not there for all of the shows. Corgan brought in Grammy Award winning singer/musician Sheri Shaw to write the TNA theme songs. That is significant because Carter’s husband Serg Salinas was the person behind a lot of TNA’s theme songs for many years so that would add credibility to the talk within TNA about Carter losing power. Some within TNA believe that she has already lost all power.

People in the company are under the impression that that Carter still has some stake in the company but Corgan is running the show and Carter will eventually be gone completely. The belief is that Aroluxe Marketing also has a stake in TNA. According to Tennessee business filings, Aroluxe Media, LLC is now conducting business under the names “TNA,” Aroluxe Media,” and “AMSM Productions.” TNA Wrestling filed under a new business name, “Impact Ventures LLC” on 8/7 and they have been doing business under that name in Nashville.

As previously reported, Billy Corgan is the man in charge of TNA now, and Dixie Carter is on her way out. The way that Corgan took charge, with Carter being named “Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer,” is being done so that she can save face on her way out. She did not stay for the entire tapings, and the word is that she only cares about exiting without getting egg on her face.

Corgan still faces the same issues going forward, he is running a company that doesn’t create enough revenue to cover payroll and TV production, which is why he and Aroluxe had to invest in TNA in the first place. The company has also shown an inability to create profit off both live events and PPV for years.

re: Dixie is being phased out, she's out of power - Meltzer

It was time. Finally, it was time.

Dixie could only do so much and it won't get IMPACT where they need to be. Corgan seems wise and knowledgable enough to not repeat mistakes of the past. Hell I heard him basically say that all final decisions must go through him so that tells me IMPACT has organization now. What a novel concept.

God please be true!!! I appreciate Dixie for saving tna in the past and for sticking with it through the bad times, but she couldn't take it to the next level. Let Billy Corgen have a crack at it and see where shit ends up

So one of the signs she is out that famous musician Billy used his connections to bring in a big time songwriter to do themes replacing the ones done by Dixie's husband? M'kay.

I doubt Corgan has Dixie's daddys money, so if TNA will hit another trainwreck, their dead.

Guess it depends how many wealthy people a successful rock star worth $50mil may know who also happen to be wrestling fans? TNA might end up being owned by a consortium of alt-rockers lol, the entrance music would be unbeatable.

SO with Corgan firmly in total control can TNA Impact return to a big time looking promotion like it did when Hogan was still around and Aces & Eight's were kings along with Bully Ray being the champ. Between 2011-2013 TNA Impact looked like and was presented as a big deal, fans were certainly a lot louder (and there were a lot more of them at their shows.) With Galloway, Rex & EC3 at the forefront this is the first time I am actually giving TNA a legitimate chance, and I love it honestly. I not only want to see them succeed, but thrive and grow as a company, adding to their ppv schedule again, and hopefully consistent ratings increases. That last part might be hard though I'll admit, as I not only don't know how many homes POP is available in, but don't even get the channel myself. I have to catch new episodes as they become available on watchwrestling.

TNA would be stupid to release Borash for all the hard work he has had to put over for them since day one. JB should be in the TNA HOF next year, no doubt. Same with Lagana. As long as someone has a leash on him (Corgan is the final say in the company now so they have an actual, solid organization they haven't had in years), Lagana is useful. Gaburick at best can be producer but every other title he needs to relinquish. He can't multitask. Ryder and Conway are still the bad kind of Jarrett leftovers that TNA needs to get rid of.

I dislike Dixie as much as the next person, but there wouldn't even have been a TNA if she and her parents hadn't bought it in 2002. It was about to go out of business then.

Things were fine and dandy until Jarrett lost most of his control in 2009. People rightfully give Jarrett a lot of crap, but he did a lot of great things for TNA and it wasn't the same when he left.

You guys are in for a ride when corgan brings russo back
Russo has said he would of course help work out ideas if asked, but he has too much going on with his 5 days a week podcast that has paying customers, the independent dates he works, plus he is a coach at Grudge's pro wrestling school & head creative for the promotion the kids that graduate from Grudge work for. Not to mention Rocky Mountain Pro (that's the promotions name) just became the 5th promotion in the U.S. to get a TV deal (on the Hunt Channel/Network?) and he like I said writes all the TV (is head creative) so he's got too much going on to go back to work full-time at TNA.
