For those who have asked, as of yesterday, no decision was made regarding whether Impact Wrestling should be moved due to WWE Smackdown going live on Tuesdays, but it was certainly a move that everyone was talking about yesterday. Perhaps the best idea would be to move the show to Tuesdays from 10-12 PM following Smackdown. That would give the series a 7-9 PM timeslot on the West Coast and on the East Coast, allow fans that wish to watch TNA, to watch it back to back with Smackdown. TNA could even promote it as challenging fans to "taste test" between the two companies, sort of as a play between Pepsi and Coke back in the day.
TNA executives Dixie Carter, John Gaburick and Eric Sherman are slated to return from India to the United States soon following meetings with their Indian TV partner SONY 6 regarding the TNA tour of that country and continued good relations between the two sides.
10-12 seems late to me. When I had a need to wake up at 6:30 I usually went asleep in ~23:00. I assume we consider that average viewer has a daily work, so I dont think being that late is a good idea.
That is real late for NY, DC, Boston, and Phili who you would think of as wrestling markets. It's not just that its late, but it is late during a work and school week.
So stay on at 9pm as they are now? Have one hour head to head. But TNA would need to make a very big noise in terms of surprises those first couple of weeks.
I get up at 4am for work, so if they go 10-12 there's a zero percent chance I will be watching. Not that TNA really has given me a reason to watch the last few years anyways.....
I always thought SmackDown was pretty boring so I don't watch it usually. That's just me however. TNA does not need to be wrecked bt it. If Hogan was there he probably say something like Tuesday night wars brother!
I can't believe some people are suggesting TNA goes head to head with Smackdown. Smackdown isn't the A-Show obviously but you all recognise that TNA fans are the hardcore wrestling fan who are more likely to tune into Smackdown for AJ, Anderson, Gallows, Zayn, Owens etc rather than tune into TNA for EC3, Galloway and Hardy, right?
Smackdown would kill TNA's ratings if they went up against one another just like RAW killed TNA's ratings in 2010.
Yea I do not see anyone saying going head to head with it. Not sure what you think people are suggesting but the worse case is leave Impact where it is so only the first hour of Impact would be head to head and the second hour would be on its own. Much like the schedule for Raw and Nitro for most of the time they both were on air.
why not do two 1 hour shows during the week, one on tuesday before/after smackdown and one on a thursday, it will make it easier for them to avoid clashing with smackdown and 1 hour shows are easier to digest for indecisive and casual fans.
touching on smackdown being on a tuesday, for anyone that watches a 3 hour wwe ppv followed by 3 hours of raw the next day followed by 2 hours of smackdown a day later really need to evaluate their life and the even more fucked up thing is that they will also watch nxt a day after smackdown lol.
I would love for it to come on later but I sleep weird hours.
