Out of the new signings we've seen:
Courtney Rush (Does a creepy gimmick well but isn't going to bring in any money or sell any tickets to a house show/tv taping)
James Storm (He's okay but they allegedly paid him a quarter of a million dollars and I just don't see how you're getting that kind of money back off him even if you do team him with Roode)
Maria (Probably the best of the bunch. Attractive and is a good talker. Good pick up and kind of a coup for TNA at this present time)
Michael Bennett (Has potential but right now isn't overly special.)
Reby Sky (Token Hardy hire. Matt doesn't need her to enhance his promos or character)
They also topped up the contracts of Jeff Hardy and The Wolves which I'll admit all three are good re-signings.
Regardless though, I do think TNA maybe should have thrown some huge money at a star. Mysterio Jr was probably always going to Lucha Underground due to the AAA association but either Goldberg or Rob Van Dam could have come in for the money they were giving AJ I'm sure. Goldberg probably only a few matches but TNA does need big stars DESPERATELY. Don't know how much Alberto Del Rio is making in WWE but TNA should have thrown huge money at him as well whilst allowing him to do indies and AAA. With that kind of deal in place they maybe could have stopped him from signing with the WWE.
They also had money for Anderson and Gallows who probably weren't coming in cheap so TNA clearly has some money to spend on talent but they're not pursuing anyone who is really going to make someone go "Wow. TNA managed to get THEM?"
I also would have loved to have seen them sign like 4-5 good X-Division talents and start pushing them towards the championship. Don't have to be stars just good entertaining performers.
