Now a free agent after a 2 year stint with WWE-NXT. Should TNA look at him? Admittedly Callihan will be hot in the indies but TNA can offer one thing that most of those indies don't have. International TV exposure.
Also with TNA's schedule it would legitimately be 10-15 dates a year for Callihan and that's it. I could see him going there if he's made an offer and if I were TNA I'd make an offer. He not only could be a big debut on the first POP show (If he doesn't have a 90 days no compete) but I think he could add depth to TNA's fledgling main event scene.
I wouldn't recommend it, don't seem like a great fit. Chris Hero, Tommy End,Rey Jr are better choices for TNA. Sami seem like a guy that would fit better in the LU universe.
I don't think he'd want to go. If this was a couple of years ago, it might be a different story. There's just a certain stigma nowadays and I don't believe Callihan would want that.
Lucha Underground could work but indies like CZW, PWG, EVOLVE, etc. is perhaps more likely. Hell, he might just want to step away from wrestling altogether for a while.
If I were TNA I would absolutely want him to help add value to my roster in terms of what he can do in the ring. He could definitely give a different type of match then what they are getting right now.
If I were Sami I'm not sure TNA would be the place I'd want to go... but I suppose it would all depend on what kind of money they were offering.
I can see him ending up in TNA 100%, very good talent - but needs to be more like Sami Callihan than Solomon Crowe (awful character which was never going work)
I was thinking when I read of his release that TNA should look into him. It of course comes down to money and if creative actually had something for him. I am not familiar with him so not sure what would work.
As far as TNA have a stigma the same could be said for TNA going after ex WWE guys. They always get blasted for it. They get knocked for going after any guy WWE lets go but the truth is, far as I know and have seen reported, that is not true and there are many they have not gone after.
And as for Maddox, I think the same goes for him. For all TNA has done bad, I think with EC3 and slowly with Drew and Eli they have shown they can take WWE "throwaways" and turn them into a solid talent.
He wasn't must see in NXT so whatever. I'm not sure that he would be a good addition.
