The way the groups have been drawn up is completely implausible.
Why put your 4 "Champions" in the same group, guaranteeing that 2 go out? Same can be said for the knockouts group, which guarantees that two go through, leading to two inter-gender matches.
If TNA wanted their knockouts to seem impressive, then you would have had a seeding process, whereby the 4 female competitors are placed in seperate groups.
Then, when two females somehow qualify from their groups, it would seem extra impressive that they qualified from a group with 3 other men in there. It would be easy to book Awesome Kong as a second or first placed finisher, and with Gail Kim, you could have some creative booking leading to her top 2 finish, a couple draws here and there probably being the explanation.
The way they've done it is completely laughable. I admit it generated a tiny bit of interest to the point where I watched the opening few segments of Impact. But once I saw the format, I'm flabbergasted. It's awful and I just can't get into it, this looks likes TNA's final stand but it's embarassing to watch.
