I know i'm late to seeing this but i just watched last weeks impact episode and couldn't believe what i saw in that fatal four way x division title match. Tigre Uno did his phoenix Splash on Grado and missed him completely and only his legs hit his feet i think and he got the fucking pin. I mean come on that was fucking pathetic to go for the pin after that and to actually get the pin was even worse.
I mean just look at this shit @ 1:23
It would have been less embarrassing to just go back on the top rope and hit it again, i mean so now wrestlers can just jump off the top rope and hit nothing but canvas and it will put away their opponent?
Tigre Uno is fucking awful, dude botches his finisher almost 90% of the time, didn't he come down and hit his opponent in the head with his knees a few weeks back? They need to get this dude off tv before he hurts someone.
There was a reason he was called Extreme Tiger in Mexico. That way when he fucked up and nearly killed somebody they at least could say, " El es extremo!!!!!!!".
To be fair, the force of his shins must have been devastating in order to get that pin. I am of the mindset, if you botch the move adlib into a different finish.
Exactly, he could have easily drug him back over to the corner and hit his other top rope move he did at the last ppv that corkscrew senton thing. It just looked ridiculous that he got the pin after clearly missing his opponent completely, i haven't' seen a botch that bad in years.
I mean what wrestler in their right mind after missing their opponent and hitting nothing but mat would think "Oh well i'll still pin him it wont look bad at all".
He has multiple botches pretty much every match he's in. I was about to say he's the botchiest wrestler since Sabu . . . then I remembered the original Sin Cara. Shudder.
Some of the most famous finishers were botches. The flying headbutt was created when Harley Race tripped on the top rope and fell headfirst on his opponant.
While it is true some notable moves are invented by accident, I don't think missing your opponent off a Phoenix Splash and getting the pin anyways will be the next DDT.
I still am just glad to have a luchador in Impact Wrestling though. Even if he needs practice. They have to adjust to the rope tightness and everything.
