Don't know who is in the right here, but Rampage has always been known as a huge whiner. Pro wrestling probably wasn't his thing, you need a thicker skin to survive in the business.
TNA has had a hard on for a cross platform competitor since it started.
They've had shamrock, Tito Ortiz has been featured numerous times, king mo rampage, frank trigg I'm sure there is more.
It's only worked with bobby lashley in his fourth run with the company I hope they leave at that and stop bringing these dudes in. Unless they do it as a guest referee gig which works fantastically.
The aspect of mma they should have stolen is what they were doing with rough cut in the run up to joe vs angle and kip James vs bg James.
I agree with Rampage on this one. TNA misused him by having him in the MEM and around the main event picture when it is clear to everyone he would have been a better fit in the KO division.
For all the good Spike did for TNA this is one place Spike hurt them. The whole forcing Bellator guys on Impact to get them exposure with no return for TNA was a sham. I defended things at the time because I expected it would pay off for TNA down the road with some cross promotion guys wrestling on a regular or at least semi regular basis. Other than Rampage in a tag match or two that never happened. The whole thing is right up there with the past working with AAA thing were basically TNA guys went down there to fill their cards and TNA got almost nothing back in return.
Rampage hasn't left a company without burying them.....this is the right usage of "bury" by the way.
Marginalize a company that bends over backwards for a personality with limited skills is the legacy of Quinton Jackson, things don't go his way, he whines like a spoiled child and tries to run away when he is locked under contract.
or maybe it's a reality of combat sports-mmma,wrestling,boxing like crap. do any of them offer medical care....nope...tna is no different than the e when it comes to screwing ppl over.
Honestly both are stupid, it wrong of Ryder to that, but Rampage, what was so bad about his experience in TNA, honestly Aj and Daniels have more of a grip than he does, why would this experience kill a whole passion for you when Aj and Daneils have gone through WAY WORSE than he has, just saying.
Didn't this guy make only 3 appearances and didn't do any OVW sessions? How exactly did they kill any love for pro-wrestling? Didn't give him a belt for showing up?
How did TNA treat him badly? I mean for someone who could do barley anything, how did they treat him bad? Like it might have not been the best use of Rampage but they didn't use him horribly. It was awful, those Ortiz promos and then the absolute lack of reaction he got when he walked out to face Rampage. But I'm sure TNA were doing what they were asked.
I lost some respect for Rampage because of comments he's made about TNA. If it was obvious he was treated badly at any point then it would be a different story. But I can't really see it. He moaned about UFC when he left, moaned about Bellator, moaned about TNA, moan, moan and moan. Shame!
I do enjoy Bob Ryder's twitter, he often has some gems. Why is he viewed by some as unlikeable? What's the story?
Not the most professional way of saying things on Ryder's behalf, but considering Rampage's track record of being bitter going to have to side with Bob on this one.
Rampage can't even complain about being handled badly, his first appearance is teasing a feud with one of the biggest names in the company, and then he ends up being place in the biggest story going on in the company and then all he does is stand there trying to look tough and doing jack shit in a couple of tag matches. For someone with no wrestling experience and clearly didn't want to be there to begin with that's being treated pretty well.
So because Rampage beat a guy who was custom tailored for him to beat, means Bob Ryder treated him wrong in TNA and affected his love for pro-wrestling?
Every promotion will always have a bad reputation, you can't please everyone.
You will always have people complaining about pay, it's a business built on drawing people. Payoffs are never good enough and people feel entitled when they lose sight of the real goal.
