While the TNA TV product has been strong since it's move to Destination America, the company is still dealing with internal issues, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

TNA is well behind on pay to their wrestlers, according to many talents who reached out to PWInsider.com under the agreement of anonymity over the past several weeks. One wrestler claimed the company is behind two pay periods while others have claimed they are still owed money dating back to February. With no TNA dates scheduled until the live Impact broadcast on 5/8, it has been a growing source of aggravation for TNA wrestlers as they are working the indy scene to supplement their TNA income,

In asking sources within the TNA office in Nashville, I am told that the pay issues are legitimate and have been a source of great frustration within the TNA offices over the last several weeks as well. While one source I spoke to denied they were behind two pay periods, they did concede they have been behind on checks being cut to talents and that it was something TNA was trying to get a handle on over the last week.
This is the reason why...

One of the factors involved is that TNA's checks are not cut in Nashville by the company but are outsourced to Dallas, Texas where TNA's parent company Panda Energy is headquartered. This alone adds another step to the process. Complicating that of late is that Panda recently moved their offices and while that move was ongoing, the department that handled issuing checks for TNA personnel and talents was completely closed. As you might imagine, that lead to a backlog on checks being issued the last several weeks.

I was also told that since TNA taped so many One Night Only PPVs during their last series of events in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios, that also led to a lot of payroll expenses while the company wasn't generating revenue from those PPV/Xplosion tapings as they were free and the PPVs won't air for several months. This additionally led to a backlog as checks were not cut for the talents working those shows yet.

As I noted, it's something those working out of the TNA Nashville office have been very frustrated with and they have been working to rectify the situation.

Its complex because are changing the financial structure of the company too, the thing thats forcing the delays is because Panda Energy have relocated their offices, this includes the area which cuts checks for the TNA guys and girls which is outsourced to Texas, not Nashville, during which the office for this was completely closed whilst the relocation happened. They should be paid by the next Impact tapings as TNA have spent the past week rectifying it.

So no death in other words.

To add, Panda Energy is not a corporation, which means they don't have hundreds of employees like WWE or Viacom or something.

I'd be surprised if more than a couple accountants handle TNA's paychecks, which means they can very easily be derailed and held back if someone gets sick or as the case here there's some office relocating. You'd notice.

Update from Meltzer:

Story is not inaccurate but I got calls from a number of people on Friday and
yesterday who said they got their pay. But they were checks
scheduled to be mailed on the 1st that arrived several days late. So in
those cases it was a few days late, not several pay periods. However, I
do know of at least one wrestler who was very late for March pay.

Company restructuring (Panda). Question answered, TNA's not dying again, HAHA.

Makes alot of sense with all the changes at Panda. Moving parts and stuff gets lost in the shuffle.

I like how Meltzer basically recants the WHOLE STORY from a massive overall pay issue to a few isolated pay issues and a parent company logistics issue. Nice work Dave!

At least he recanted.

Highly doubt Panda is in trouble they've been going for 33 years. Meltzer says he has had people calling him on Friday saying they've been paid fine, some late yes but they have. So Johnson's story must have been done when a lot of people were still waiting and only put up today, the outsourcing and relocation pretty much answers the question as to why there was a delay.

Panda seems to be a loaded bunch of people.

When things are going good for TNA PWI doing this type of stories
They'll make a report claiming that this one was wrong in couple of days.
Because thats what they do.

Here comes all the usual trolls that camp out here in the tna section cause they have no lives or jobs and live only to hear negative news on TNA which their hero meltzer cleared up but they seem to be ignoring that and are still acting like no one got paid lololol.

Have fun losers.

It seems like the ones with late pay checks are the ppa wrestlers used during the ono ppv's and some new roster and staff members.

Not making any excuses, but most likely it is a data entry problem at the corporate level as most of the tna regular roster members already in the system are recieving their checks on time. If this occurs again, senior management must get involved to immediately and permanantly fix the problem to avoid any bad relations with roster members, staff and the negativity from the media.
