The station Esporte Interativo, currently owned by Turner Broadcasting System, announced through its official Facebook page that on Sunday (8) is the premiere broadcast of the shows of TNA Wrestling company by the channel.

There was an old rumor that, with TBS acquiring the channel, new doors to the product of the Nashville firm would be opened in Brazil.

The news is not so much a surprise due to the WWE's contract with EI be near the end, and it was likely that the channel would seek a replacement for the place.

The program points out that on Sunday at 15:45 airs an unspecified issue of pay-per-view One Night Only and evening hours, more precisely to 22hrs, TNA Impact Wrestling appears - is unknown if it will not be the show that Originally aired on Friday.

Already on Monday, from 19:45, TNA Xplosion program opens.

As a brazilian I can say that this is a quite huge deal, EI is a fast growing brand that was bought by Turner Network one or two months ago. They were the house of WWE until last year when they went to FOX Sport because a deal that made WWE be avaible on all Latin America by them.
The channel brought WWE in Brazil for the first time ever some years ago when they made a house show to 5/6k people and while WWE was on air they were one of the top shows of the channel.
With the expansion planned for the channel and while they bought the rights for UEFA Champions League the network will be even bigger.
The reception of TNA replacing WWE on their facebook channel was mixed, but a lot of people cheered about because of Jeff Hardy on the picture since he was a big star when WWE aired on SBT, the second largest channel in Brazil.
The things look very good to TNA internationally.

The sign of a big sports channel in Europe and South America is if it owns the TV rights to substantial football tournaments, and UEFA Champions League is as big as it can get (even if no South American club plays in it). What needs to be seen is if TNA gets good advertising on Esporte Interativo/Turner Sports and the timings stay consistent.

Watching right now TNA broadcast from last friday on Esporte Interativo. They broadcast in Portuguese and show the brazilian commentators often but i think they don't cut the original broadcast. They are broadcasting the entire show now, they also broadcasted earlier in the day Joker's Wild III and tomorrow they will broadcast TNA Xplosion too.

Good for Esporte Interativo because in South America i think it's the only channel that broadcasts TNA.

They didnt showed the Jokers Wild 3 in the afternoon timeslot, they showed the first Impact in Manchester because they didnt get the ONO show. It was kind of messed up, but WWE on Esporte Interativo had worst problems and they solved all in a couple of months.

Just over this week Xplosion... showed for the third time JUST TODAY.
Everyday TNA is getting at least 2 hours of TV here (sometimes Impact and sometimes Xplosion), they are getting at least 14 hours of weekly TV.
I dont think that any other country on the world has so much TNA as Brazil right now.

I know, this is most because they want to make the TNA brand recognizable, but this coming of the biggest sports channel in the country of one of the biggest countries of the world is amazing for TNA.
Next year if TNA can build momentum here they could easily make house shows of some thousands of people.

LOL, I dont think that Anderson is interesting atm (but he was on the annoucing team of a pro wrestling match in the biggest late night here, funny shit).
We have BWF and FILL, WWE already send Regal to scout both of them and recently they made a try out with some pro wrestlers and MMA fighters of the country, what included a friend of mine who is a MMA fighter and a pro wrestler on BWF, the biggest fed here.
