Okay I understand TNA want to be different but they don't have to keep the hard camera view to a minimum and basically force people to watch their matches at a more "stranger" view.
TNA need to realize that alternative to WWE does not mean 6 sided ring and different shaky camera style. I still want to watch matches from a hard camera view.
It's the storylines, characters and pushing of talent that deserve to be pushed which will set TNA to be a viable alternative, not the type of camera shots that they use.
i hope they have the intelligence to sort it out soon, they ain't doing themselves any favours, if they want to try something new with their camera work then take note of lucha underground.
you don't think some head guy at destination america has any say in the new camera work at tna?
I agree. It was most evident when two guys (Aries and Joe maybe) were battling on the top rope and the camera man would change direction of the camera after a punch for "effects" I would assume. Watching live, I thought it was very awkward.
Actually prefer it to the 18 x 18 square but what annoys me is TNA think it is the ring on it's own + shaky camera work that makes them the alternative.
Also, the camerawork changes, depending on where they're at. Sometimes they can't get a good hardcam angle, and they film everything from ringside, sometimes they can.
The only good thing TNA does with camera work is their backstage segments. I like how they actually acknowledge that there is someone recording the wrestlers backstage. Heels actually attack and abuse cameramen for recording their plans.
WWE pretends like no one can see the cameramen backstage.
Their camera work is atrocious, more hard camera less shaky shaky camera.
Looks like a fans is recording it on his phone.
