Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
On the London spoilers the spoilerman said it was an outstanding match. If Kurt Angle at 46 yrs old can put on outstanding matches with the belt I think they did a good job because that is what the World Title should be about, great wrestlers having great matches. I appreciate it!
Maybe they should let the fans vote on who had the greatest match every week and make that guy champion for the week. It's about the same as what they are doing now.
Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
Does it matter who is champ? TNA's title isn't worth shit. Kurt Angel is a fossil no one cares about anymore. The most exciting thing he could do at this stage of his career is go to WWE and beat Rusev.
Though they could have really created some buzz with Del Rio as champ, but he chose Lucha Underground. Big loss for TNA. Big gain for Lucha
I watched some recent episodes of TNA and their main event scene doesn't seem too exciting. Lashley and Roode are boring as fuck, and Ewi is just sort of there. I like Austin Ares though.
I honestly was more interested in their tag division and women's division. The Hardys had a great match with the Wolves. And the women's division has some good talent and some new energy with Awesome Kong being back.

Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
I'm not going to lie, Angle and MVP are the only thing I take interest in TNA for, if their last runs are with this company, I'll watch them, I'm not a WWE snob and think everyone should end their careers there. Rest of the roster I don't care about or gave up on along long time ago.
Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
Morrison, that was exactly what they did with Roode/Lashley. Roode won the 2nd match on a quick sit pin maneuver. Don't go to the same bank too many times.
Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
I really liked Lashley as a champion and if change was needed, they could atleast book it better. Lashley, a monster, lost a belt in a first match against Angle who is 10 years older.
Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
Kurt's one of the all-time greats, and if he can put on a good match at his age, why not? He's going to be putting someone over eventually, and Lashley was a shit champion, so it doesn't seem that bad IMO.
Re: *Huge Spoiler* New World Heavyweight Champion!
So long as he drops it to Drew Galloway and big Drew goes the Lesnar route and makes 6 appearances a year to give the title some sort of prestige again, sure.
If he drops it and it plays hot potato around the same three guys for a year again.... yawn.

I love drew, but no it is going to take a couple of years of buildup for Drew to become Beviable again. As good as drew was he got BURIED HARD in wwe ,and was the guys credibility took a HUGE hit. Right now he is pretty much at a point where tna has HAS to bulid him back up. No one is going to believe this guy in a national company will be world champion for a while, he DESERVES a main event push, but right now is not the time. Remember what happened to Chavo, people could not even buy into him as Tag CHAMP TAG CHAMP after he got jobbed out to hornswaggle in wwe.
It needs to be Areis, Aries is in his prime and Drew still has time left. Makes to much sense not to happen.
I don't have a massive problem with this, Angle is the biggest star they have by far and he can still put on great matches so why not give him the belt
Give someone a solid push and feud with Angle and make the moment of them winning the belt feel huge and then market that person as the face of Impact moving forward.
I agree with this. He's basically trading places with Jeff Hardy right now as the headline "big name" star. After Angle's runs with the Main Event Mafia and all that, he fell into tag team competition with AJ Styles and Bad Influence for a couple of years while Hardy was always near the title with Bobby Roode and Austin Aries. Now Hardy is in tag division with the Wolves and Revolution and Angle's being elevated back to the title, in part because they clearly wanted to do this Lashley/Angle match for awhile. Kurt was saying in like October when he was GM that him and Lashley were going to fight "one day."
Edit: That was from Oct. 15, so they started planting these seeds a long time ago.
how can anyone say this is not a good thing. it's Kurt fucking Angle. one of the biggest names in TNA. American Olympic gold medalist, recognized by pretty much anyone who is a wrestling fan.
it would be a big plus if Angle eventually loses it to someone worthy to build that person up higher by beating the likes of Kurt angle for the heavyweight championship.
Just because you are on top does not mean you need to do dives off the top of the building
