Well as you notice a guy that people FOR SURE thought would be out the door would be Areis, Ray left, Velvet Left, Ajs been gone a year, but Aries has stayed even though he has indy value and New Japan might take him and would make more money out of tna, a lot of people would. However there is one thing, tna I think is getting less strict with indies(they have to be now), hence he may be making a lot of money anyways.
Here is the thing. I think Areis is staying in tna to redeem his world title run that fell apart due to bad booking. He wants to win the world title AT LEAST one more time to prove he is not a fluke. NOW I know, who cares about the tna title, they draw 200 people, he would make money on the indies, blah blah blah, however that is not what is about.
Areis has proven that he can make it in a indy company, in his mind that won't impress people because the indies and japan are designed around people like Areis. However TNA is not, tna is sports entertainment it alaways has been even when the x division was tearing it up, but it kept itself from being wwe light at that point. He wants to prove that he can make it in sports entertainment one more time and wint he world title. Is tna as big as wwe? Hate to say but tna was the laughing stock of the wrestling business in 2014 and never has been close to the wwe, even at its peak, but he could not make it in wwe, he could not even make tough enough. However he made it to tna and won their world title, but most people think he was just a one time deal, and he wants to prove that it was not just a one time deal but that he is the real deal. At the end I am just speculating, who knows what is going through his mind, but it does seem weird, epically considering he was the two time ROH world champion why he would not go to indies, really weird.
However it could just be the mentality that tnas roster is limited, and he maybe has a better chance of winning a world title in tna than New Japan despite NJPW clearly being in a way better shape, and more of an audience. I would bet it is eaiser to win the tna title than the ROH title at this point.
I hope he does win the world title one more time before he does have to departe, it would suck if he did not. I hope he does cash in and be the first to actually win the belt.
