Re: It's officially six sides
I like how a lot of talent have made it known that they don't like the six sides because it's more wear and tear on the body but in a desperate attempt for ticket sales TNA has just given the small group of fans who watched 5 years ago what they wanted. Talent be damned.
This is why TNA is in such bad shape.
There is no need to go back to a 6-sided ring as long as it is harder to bump on than the standard. Unless they change the mechanism and it is no longer a problem there is no reason to switch to 6. TNA is to blame for making the poll, and the fans who voted for 6 are to blame for additional wear and tear on the wrestlers. What happens if somebody gets injured? What happens if not only wrestlers have to change their style and leave out more difficult moves, but injuries go up? What is the benefit worth if TNA actually looked at the costs?
Baaaaad move for TNA. If it was a one time deal that would be so much better. But a six sided ring has the potential to decrease match quality and injure wrestlers.
This is a mistake. Hindsight is going to rear its ugly head after this is said and done. I wouldn't be shocked if they switched back after a few months.
