The Hardyz ARE entertaining wrestlers. The people who claim that they are poor wrestlers should at least be a little bit more honest with themselves.

With that said, why I think that people hate the Hardyz had a lot to do with what happens to both of them in their lives.

Jeff Hardy, the younger Hardy brother that seemed to get himself into various drug problems a few years back and even screwed up a TNA main event because of it.

Matt Hardy, the older Hardy brother, also got into drug problems after Jeff, later got involved in a DUI incident that made him lost his job as a TNA wrestler. He also displayed some mental problems after he tried to attempt suicide and publicize about it on social media.

However, shortly, a few years later, these guys are largely forgiven, and even loved, by wrestling fans worldwide

On the other hand, there are people around us that commit the same mistakes in their lives and they never get the love, respect and forgiveness that both of them had, even if their mistakes are committed a very long time ago.

In short, the Hardyz' hate can be summarized into one word: Jealousy

This world just isn't fair

I certainly don't agree with the direction their careers have taken, or their choices in life, but you have to respect the sacrifices they have made for the business (especially Jeff). No one was forcing him to do things that could have easily killed him, paralyzed him, or ended his career; he was doing those things for the fans.

And we've seen it before. When it eventually happens, at the Hall of Fame, all will be forgiven in the eyes of the WWE fans.

Jeff Hardy is a living legend. Matt Hardy is a major fail in the history of the WWE and he never deserved to be above the mid card. I used to keep track of his Mug Shots. Without Jeff Matt Hardy will never be a draw. Lita cheated on Matt because he was a lying prick. Posting psychotic videos on YouTube while under contract to WWE, ya that's a 'World Champion' right there. Don't care about seeing the Hardys. Don't see why we are all of a sudden expected to care about Matt Hardy like he's a legit Main Eventer.

He gets over in a tag team, proves himself as the Marty Genetti, and goes to ROH to be the big fish in a small pond, and his entire push is dependant on the fact that more people know who Matt Hardy is than 100% of the ROH roster and that is sad.

I used to like them like 10+ years ago when I would watch their old stuff on tape but I don't agree with them coming back to TNA hence why I've been negative.

First, I like Jeff a lot and I feel he's an established singles star so a hokey Hardy Boyz reunion screams "Please pay us attention!" but it's failed in WWE before and it's failed in TNA before as well. The Hardy Boyz reunion only appeals to the hardcore fans who were watching them in their prime. Do you think some 8 year old kid even knows who the Hardy Boyz are? Definitely not.

Matt Hardy is also almost 40 years old so him coming out and doing the same thing he did when he was 26 isn't appealing to me. I feel TNA should be trying to find the next Hardy Boyz or the next Team 3.D or becoming the next ECW cult like promotion instead of bringing all these guys in for a legends tour.

Nash in TNA was old and taking a spot and a paycheck from a younger guy who deserved it more, but everyone lost their shit when he returned at the Royal Rumble. I think a big part of people hating the Nash/Punk build was people thinking Nash would politic his way to a victory over Punk. Sting in TNA was past his prime and should retire, yet everyone was jerking off when Rob Feinstein was posting Facebook statuses about how a "close source" said that Sting was gonna debut on the Raw after Wrestlemania. Angle in TNA is, again, past his prime but with the recent reports of his contract expiring you've got a lot of people salivating about a possible return to WWE. I think Hulk Hogan is probably the perfect example. In TNA he was a cancer who was out of touch with fans and what we wanted, and was ruining his legacy by actively continuing to be a part of wrestling, but when he left and came back to WWE he was getting love from everywhere and people were buying up Hulkamania shirts like it was 1984 again. I think to say that some people hate a wrestler (In this case Matt and/or Jeff Hardy) simple because they're not in WWE is something that definitely has some merit to it. For as much shit as some people give Jeff, I've seen a lot of people say they want him back in WWE.
Some people myself included liked his (at the time) one time appearance in the Rumble.

Where are you getting this EVERYONE from ?
There are people who like Sting and wished he'd be in WWE, there are some people who don't like Sting and wish he'd retire, hell there are people who don't like Sting as a regular in-ring competitor but would like a one-off appearance from him in WWE.

NOT EVERYONE HAS THE SAME OPINION.

YES there are Jeff fans who would rather see him in WWE then TNA, but to say people hate a wrestler simply cause of the promotion they work for is ridiculous.

Considering the antics outside of wrestling, which have crossed over and affected their careers, it's not hard to see why people dislike them.

Depends if the 8 yr old watches with their parents who teach them the history. Older kids can learn on their own. When I was younger I learned of guys who's prime was before I started watching. And that was BEFORE the net with your wikis and youtubes.

I don't want to see a huge focus on them or any legends but nothing wrong sprinkling them in with the new talent. THAT'S what got me into TNA to start and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Jeff was doing all those crazy stunts for the money to be honest.

If you want to see people doing it for the fans go and buy a King Of The Deathmatches or Tournament Of Death DVD. 3-4 matches in a day with them all killing eachother for 100-150 bucks if that.

I completely agree that both men should be respected with the nature of the work that they are doing. And I am not suggesting that both men should not be forgiven for their mistakes. It is just that when it comes to forgiveness, the rich or famous (or both) seems to be more readily forgiven. We have seen a few examples already so I would not bother mentioning them.

It just irks me that the same degree of forgiveness is not given to the “commoners”. I have a friend who committed a burglary back in his late teens. Because of his criminal record, he did not get a proper job until 20 years later. However, Jeff Hardy has a drug problem that could put him to a mental state to endanger the wrestlers that he is working with. Yet, after the disaster of a match that he had with Sting, he is back to wrestling on a regular basis less than a year later.

Sorry if I am going a little off topic here but I just have to vent
