I have a feeling A.J will be back soon, I wonder if they have some sort of partnership with ROH.

The heels had to get beat up to make it seem believable that AJ could win. If AJ had just got beat down for 10 minutes by all the heels, people would be sitting here crying about AJ being buried.

If that never fucking happy, people wouldn't be angry at all. Ever thought of that? Making your new champion look GOOD?

The point of the match was to show the extreme lengths Dixie Carter was willing to take to make sure AJ was out of TNA for good. That was the entire premise of Impact. How could that go over everyone's heads?

From an entertainment/story aspect, this match was good and made complete sense. Dixie got rid of everyone during the show who could potentially help AJ, except Sting. Dixie made the match no disqualification at the top of the show because she was absolutely desperate to get rid of AJ for good. If the match is No-DQ, why wouldn't she throw every enemy at AJ she could possibly find? You guys were honestly expecting a straight up, 20 minute pure wrestling match? Come on now.

This would be like Lex Luthor rounding up as many villains as he possibly could to beat Superman. It wasn't your typical heavyweight title match, but it didn't need to be, nor was it supposed to be. It was an evil plan designed to make Dixie Carter look like a mastermind and it worked. It was well done and very entertaining.
Best booked wrestling show I've seen in a long time, up there with the best Attitude Era RAWs. Literally every single segment of the show meant something in the context of an overarching story that went from the opening of the show to the closeout (well OK, Anderson-Bully had nothing to do with it but that segment brought awesome lulz)

..... So this is what a 2 hour clusterfuck feels like..... Bad show, very predictable and a bad ME, where nobody looked good, except Sting for some reason.

I would love it if a ROH invasion of TNA happened. While stable wars are played out, but since its an invasion with another company involved, it would be interesting. Sadly, it probably won't happen

Reposted from the Discussion thread
Ok, time for some serious discussion. Now, Im not one of those guys that defends TNA for every decision they do, nor am I one that bashes them for every little thing they do. With that out of the way, last nights show sucked. Outside the Bully/Anderson segment, the show was an utter bore and the main event was on of the worst things I've seen in wrestling since the Jerry Springer sketch on Raw. I ended up playing Simpsons: Hit and Run more that I payed attention.

But one thing that gets me is that not only was the main event bad, but it was a missed opportunity. Lets compare this to the Mankind vs The Rock match. You know the one. Anyway, Commissioner Micheals was taken out and couldn't interfere. So The Rock comes out and later, so does the Corporation. DX come out to help Foley. Both sides make sure the odds are even and near the end start going at each other. Then Steve Austin comes out and helps Foley win. It made us want to know whats next.

Last night, everyone who could help was laid out, Magnus didn't really even wrestling AJ and the only back up AJ got was a guy pushing 60. And the end result was Magnus winning, with no really drive to watch whats next.

If they wanted to make something out of this whole thing, this is what should have happened: AJ is outnumbered and it looks like he is going to lose. Then the guys who were taken out, come back, injured, but willing to fight and looking badass as hell for it. They fight Dixie's hire goons, while AJ and Magnus keep at it. Dixie herself tries to distract AJ and is accidentally taken out by Magnus. In the confusion, AJ attacks Magnus and gets the pin. Yes, AJ wins.

Two things can happen: Dixie finds a loophole in the not having a World Title and brings out a new title saying that this isn't a TNA World title but the TNA (Insert name here) Title. She tries to hand the belt to Magnus, but another wrestler interrupts and the main event for the new title happens with Magnus winning and the other wrestler feuds with him. Two, Dixie is force to actually buy the title from AJ. She is left humiliated and it leaves her in bad position: The rest of the roster realizes that they don't need to be reliant om Dixie and go into business for themselves. It starts a new status quo were wrestlers or groups of wrestlers cutting out there own "territory" in the TNA structure with Dixie unable to do anything about it and forced to do herself.

They dropped the ball last night in this main event. As bad as it was in and of itself, the loss of opportunity makes it far worse.

Live at least, I enjoyed it a lot. Crowd was tremendously behind AJ and it kept him super strong if he decides to stick around while also getting the group of heels a lot of screen time.

However, with the fact that he is not signed (allegedly), it is questionable.

I imagine something will develop with Magnus wanting to be an honorable champion then having everything go down the way it did.

Now if only Magnus had some interesting challengers going forward.
That's how I viewed it, it was a total circus but I enjoyed it and it made AJ Styles look great.

All these guys were shit to begin with. I mean the Bromans? Rockstar Spud? Then a real badass showed up, Bobby Roode, and did the job properly.
