I could see this being Jarrett's booking, make his friend AJ look strong, make the TNA champion look weak, not like he gave a sh*t since he was on his way out. Loved it as an AJ fan.

Magnus was already looking weak when winning the championship Jeff Hardy should've won before Spud pushed down the ladder.

Fun match, the crowd was into it until Bobby Roode nearly killed AJ.

Man, you guys are uptight for no reason.

From an entertainment/story aspect, this match was good and made complete sense. Dixie got rid of everyone during the show who could potentially help AJ, except Sting. Dixie made the match no disqualification at the top of the show because she was absolutely desperate to get rid of AJ for good. If the match is No-DQ, why wouldn't she throw every enemy at AJ she could possibly find? You guys were honestly expecting a straight up, 20 minute pure wrestling match? Come on now.

This would be like Lex Luthor rounding up as many villains as he possibly could to beat Superman. It wasn't your typical heavyweight title match, but it didn't need to be, nor was it supposed to be. It was an evil plan designed to make Dixie Carter look like a mastermind and it worked. It was well done and very entertaining.

It would have made no sense for Magnus and Styles to wrestle a clean match in a No-Disqualification match.

Everyone keeps bitching about the run-ins but every wrestler who interefered had a motive to be out there. It wasn't just a bunch of random run-ins. Dixie got rid of AJ's allies and rounded up all of her stooges and enemies AJ has made in TNA. Everything came together. Angle having to "leave the arena" for an emergency. ODB getting taken out by Tapa so Eric Young wouldn't interefere. Joe getting hurt. Storm/Gunner both getting taken out.

It left the company's top babyfaces of the past 7 years to face all the heels. Too many people are focusing on the pure fact that it had so much intereference. It was supposed to. This was as complete a story as you'll see told.

Stoney Jackson is an after thought
Default Re: So...AJ vs Magnus

I thought it was awesome. I will say that the way everything went makes me think eventually AJ will be back. But Jesus, who are the faces now? Sting, Anderson, Storm/Gunner? There really is no roster now and it's starting to show. The same people are fighting each other every Impact. They need a infusion of talent soon.

It does make sense, but my problem is it makes the heels look terribly weak which makes the storyline boring. Would the Star Wars films be any good if the Empire got their asses whooped constantly for all 6 films? You need to make the bad guys look strong otherwise there's no feeling of achievement when the good guys finally win and it's boring.
