Worst title match I can remember from the top of my head. This is exactly the classic TNA logic, why should we put a newly crowned champion over and make him relevant when we can make the other guy look like a superhero. Because it's not like he's leaving the company and he may never come back...

AND here we go again, another big heel stable controlling the company. So how long is it gonna take until a group of good guys form a babyface stable and try to destroy and disband Dixie's stable (but we all know they're not gonna do that, because TNA thinks it's better when the heel group dominates the whole time and then disbands because of disputes inside the group)? Well, we all know Kurt and Sting are gonna lead it, as always, Joe's gonna be there, as always, and we all know Lockdown is coming up in a couple of months so they need to hurry up. I just can't believe how stupid they are. When Dragon Gate is the only company that has had more stable feuds in the past ten years, you know you're doing it wrong.

Just rewatched the match. It's no exaggeration when people say that Magnus got absolutely no offense in on Styles. Not one single move. Just a few stomps. Your new TNA World Heavyweight Champion, everyone!

The stupid part is they don't even make it look like AJ would want to come back, they made him look better than TNA, why would he come back to try and win a title for jobbers when he could be elsewhere having competitive matches.

I'd agree, but compared to the people that comprise the majority of the roster, he shouldnt have any trouble at least looking the part. I hate to bring up anything that could be looked upon as positive about hogan, but of the many many great things about him being gone one of the things that i never see anyone talk about is how tiny and insignificant he made most of the roster look. I mean, if perception is reality in the wrestling business, they all looked like jobbers when hogan was in the ring and thankfully thats not a problem anymore.

Im not trying to take anything away from tna's talent with that observation, im only trying to say that, with no one around thats remarkabley bigger than most of them, people like aj can just be perceived to be a regular sized guy in a match with a bigger guy, rather than a match featuring a small guy and guy thats somehow smaller, if that makes sense.

I may be the only person that cares about that sort of thing, but when i watched tonight, i never once even thought about how small a guy was compared to a wrestler from yesteryear like i normally do with tna. I just saw wrestlers in entertaining matches that outperformed my expectations.

though i did notice how out of shape sting and samoa joe were

Enjoyed all the things and I didn't fast forward a thing in that match. Can say that I spend more time watching an episode of Impact than an episode of RAW or SmackDown and I'm a big WWE fan. Sad to see AJ go though.

Wow, AJ Styles looked stronger than Cena at the height of his Super Cena days in that match. Lol.

They could have just had a good 20 minute match, where both guys looked strong with each kicking out of each other's finishers, at the end a heel comes out distracts the ref and Magnus hits AJ with the belt and gets the pin. That way you have a good match, both guys look strong and AJ doesn't lose cleanly, if the plan is to bring him back down the line.

What was supposed to be an epic Title match was one of its worst of all time, Too Many Interferences and all, the Match was Ruined!

Impact was Ruined!

One of the worst Title matches ever!

But how else could we have Super Sting almost save the day all by himself?

Lol that was indeed quite the scene :P

As soon as you saw Kurt Angle having to leave due to emergency you just knew things were going to get bad for AJ during a No-DQ match Quite the shame that was how they determined Magnus was going to be the Champion.
